A question about Story rankings

I recently checked my story listing page here @ LIT:
A question for you or for any others that may know the answer.

One of my stories is listed with a small "H" icon beside it. "H" standing for HOT. The word 'hot' comes up when you 'mouse-over' the icon...LOL. Why is this? I didn't realise that LIT had some sort of ranking system, other than the 1-5 system of votes. Does it go on views, votes, or whether Laurel got off while reading it?

welcome

Draco-

The little red H gets put next to stories that have at least 10 votes and have an average rating of at least 4.5.

Congratulations on being a Hot Author.

Thanks for the prompt reply BK

I'm HOT....WOOOHOOOO

Hiya, Bridget,
As always, correctomundo. Does the haitch disappear if the story votes plummet to a mean less than 4.5?
MG
Ps. Don't hold your breath, Draco. The average almost always takes a precipitous dive when some people notice the good score on your story. Hope this doesn't happen to you, but it's always happened to mine.

Well, you will be until some single-digit IQ, no-life, bottom feeding, lurkers read this and rush over to drop a ONE on you.

Enjoy it while you can, and congratulations.

Yuppers

Other little letters

The Elusive "E" which means Laurel herself has given you the nod

AND

The coveted "W" which means the story has won a contest (monthly/yearly/event/etc)

riding the wave

MG-

Riding the wave of popularity is hell.

I'll have to take your word for that, BK.

Hiya, Bridget,
Wouldn't know. Never caught one. Haven't looked at scores in a couple of months.

False modesty doesn't become you, RF!

I count 5 H's on your page!

Shirley, you jest

Hiya, Bridget,
No way! I don't think I even have that many stories.

I'm not surprised that anyone named Draco would get a "Hot" - label...:)
Hiya, Svenska,
I wonder whether she's the mythical great dragon (draco nobilis) or the common swamp dragon (draco vulgaris), good for lighting cigarettes and stripping paint. Terry Pratchett would know.
MG

She's clearly inspired by the sexy, rich Bad Guy in the HP-novels, mr Draco "Naughty-Is-Nice" Malfoy.

I've never had an "E". Maybe you have to blow someone to get it.

Since Laurel is a female type lady person, you must be referring to either Manu or else you're considering the use of dynamite.

It does that? Hmmm, learn something new every day.

Ummm...just a point. Draco is definately MALE (no offense taken...LOL) The name is inspired from the Dragon in the movie Dragonheart. (Dennis Quaid & Sean Connery)

Maybe the prior AV thru some off the track. LOL

Anyhow, thanks for all the postive comments and info.
