This question was published by MuscleMag in their May 2002 issue on page 253 in Jack Eagan's regular column. He's the guy that spent 2 decades studying mating rituals and wrote the book How To Pick Up Beautiful Women.

"I met a beautiful girl at a party a few weeks ago and we hit it off. We talked for hours and she seemed genuinely interested in my. At the end of the night, I asked for her phone number and she gave it to me. I told her I would call her for a date and she agreed. I called a few weeks later for a date that night, but she claimed she was busy and declined. What is going on? She really seemed like like she was into me at the party. Should I keep trying or just give up?"

What do you think?

I think maybe after a couple of weeks, she had plans already? Why is that he expected her to drop everything for him when he called? Should she have sat by the phone and not made any plans on the offchance that he would call?

Just be sure to have the correct fare.

I'm no lady but I'll answer it anyway. Give up, women are like buses, if you miss this one, don't worry there'll be another one along in a minute.

I think he waited too long. I don't think he should give up. If at first you don't succeed, try try again! :)

HULLOooooo?

Hint --> "a few weeks later for a date that night"

How presumptuous of him ...
give it up, the lady is not interested in your game.

Women!!! They have absolutely no patience. Everything must be rush, rush, rush. Guys like to think things over before making a decision.:p

LOL

What decision is that? He said he liked her, said they hit off. Why wait a few weeks? What's he waiting for? :)

Of course, is she said , yes, let's meet and make sweet, passionalte love, would rushing be such a bad thing ?

:p

Perhaps in the meantime she met someone who was more of an action type person. I am of the opinion if you want to let someone know of your interest then forge ahead. If this guy had called me after several weeks I would have been annoyed that he actually expected me to drop what I was doing because he deigned to dial the phone. On the other hand if I was very interested in him I would have taken his phone number and called him. This guy doesn't sound like much of an expert to me.

I'm guessing that it's the fact that he wanted a date that night that made her say no. Isn't it just possible that she already had plans that night?

I don't care that it took him a few weeks to call her. So what? But calling and expecting her to go out on such short notice and then being upset when she has plans is a little silly.

Exactly. What is she supposed to be, just his automatic booty call after one conversation at a party?
