A Poet Walks Into a Bar . . .

*bites lip, smiling*

check out the Bing page, butters, who were the lake poets?
'corse I remembered. :cattail:

which bing page? the homepage, the link you sent me many pm's ago, feldspar on bing?

the lake poets? well there was a core group, namely southey, wordsworth, and coleridge, but there were others, too, all drawing inspiration from the lake district, a beautiful region in england where they all lived in the 1800's..

it just took me by surprise

*snuggles in, olives to hand, looks up at harry

smiles, looks into the flames, otherworlds waiting but content right here, right now*

Last night I had a dream
of buttered beams of moonlight,
marbled 'cross my bed they bled,
a coverlet of light and shadow;
sweet sleep slipping like a smile,
too soon the sun came bright.

Oh my! Very nice, Harry! :rose:

*butters heads on over to the bar, pulls herself up then turns onto her stomach, peering over the edge and at the shelving below...*

could've sworn i saw . . . ha! yes, there it is

*sliding back down from the bar, she strolls over to the fire and low coffee table . . . pulling some heavy cushions down onto the floor either side of the table, she proceeds to lay out the well-used, old chess set - then tips her head to one side, deciding whether or not to push the table out the way and just lay on the floor instead. maybe later  for now, the table will suffice.*

..
*Walks in, pours the Chablis again, hands butters the glass and looks at the chess board*
..
Where'd you get that?

*smiles*

thankyou, 'tender

from under the counter, at the back of the second shelf to the right of the pump, of course.... the gorilla, you know? he's really rather fond of the classics

A little bit of skirt is what I wear
I hope to see a little leer
My lips are red and pouting too
I would love to kiss a man like you

I dare not think of what may be
As you stroll towards me
Will you see under my disguise
In my knickers my secret surprise

I just want to suck that meat
To me that would be a real treat
Although I would just take a kiss
But to leave then would be amiss

So if you are in need of this
Come over here and give me a kiss
I will relieve you pent up state
and drink down till you are spate
