wow! I hope everything works out and you feel better buddy![]()
I admire you finding pride in surviving the odds & recognizing the light and joy that you do have in your life.
I was estranged from my parents for a number of years until my teenage daughter persuaded me to reconnect with them. Right around that time my dad developed an inability to produce cells in his marrow. Weak and tired all the time, but I don't think he was in a lot of pain which you seem to suffer from.
His faith brought him a lot of comfort. He was actually looking forward to seeing his lost relatives on the other side he said. I wasn't aware somehow but my brother that lives near him has become part of the lay clergy of the church. He officiates weddings funerals that sort of thing so he is in a position of ecclesiastical authority of sorts.
Anyway my brother is also a medical doctor was talking to my dad about towards the end. Dads kind of a control freak you actually typed up his own funeral announcement and include the date on it as well which he conveniently manage to die exactly on that day. (Last week).
My brother asked him dad aren't you a little bit worried? Like for example what if you get over there in the Buddhist had it right? My dads take on it was "Well I did the best I could with the way I understood it was supposed to work so I'm sure that if its the Buddhist they'll give me a pass is well."
I've enjoyed your indexing over the years as well as you're gentle banter with the posters. It sounds like you already have a lot of experience enjoying the life such as you have I hope that continues for you for a long time or at least until the end.
Take care, fred.
Thanks guy. Its not looking to well.
I have been sending emails to old friends.. so many lost contact with.
Only one out of 15 has written back.
Guess its about time to turn the lights off and just dance in the dark
Well my friends if you believe in a higher power or just luck. ask or wish me... a better time that my stomach heal more. When I was 2yrs old my dad had his 2/3 of his stomach removed.(1957) As it was the only thing they could do to fix it. He die 6 months later... just could not handle it. just eatting 2 or 3 oz's at a time 6 to 10 times a day. I have had same problem since I was born, I have lasted.. hell a lot longer than anyone though. One because they have more tools to work with today, and my will to live. I spend 2yrs eatting drinking .. this mix of stuff they made up every 2 hours, I was the walking dead. the alarm would go off evey 2 hours I would drink a 2 to 4oz at a time until qt bottle was gone.. sleep.. wake up drink .. sleep wakeup over and over again. I had surgery a few weeks back, and now doc is talking about taking stomach out if the surgery doesn't work.
So I hope and pray it will work, but so far its not healing very fast. I'm on a lot of pain meds.

Never give up my friend. You never know what is around the corner.
I myself actually was contacted out of the blue by an old Lit friend we had lost contact with YEARS ago. We missed her so much and were REALLY worried about her so to have her back in our lives after six years is an amazing feeling.
...We now have a pact. If anything happens in any of our three lives we will NOT disappear. We will come together and all nine of us (Three of us and their kids) will form our own little family. We are determined to NEVER lose each other again.
Well watching the Kentucky Derby, I remember going and enjoying the day. Today I in bed not able to stand. Wonder if I can stay a wake for the race..
