This is one of the most personal issues people face. It goes to the very heart of social, political and religious views of each and every person. I personally believe it still boils down to a person's right to choose. Any woman who is the victim of abuse should have the "SOLE" right to choose to abort the unwanted results of that abuse IF SHE SO CHOOSES. If the abortion is based on simply not wanting to have a child when the sexual union was concensual, that is a different situation requiring the consent of both parties. But that again shows that there needs to be additional emphasis placed on the morality of casual sex and that too is a matter of personal Choice. If two people CHOOSE to have a "one night stand", and do so in an unprotected manner, the potential should be known that an unwanted child could result. It's not too difficult to say NO to unprotected sex and don't tell me that you get caught up in the heat of the moment. If lust is that dominate, then be aware that you may be blessed with a pregnancy. If you're a guy, go prepared...if you're a woman, say NO until the guy is prepared.
But in the end, I still believe this is an issue that should be left out of the political arena and placed in the hands of medical professionals and the individual's right to choose.
Just my thoughts.
