99.5 % covid deaths are the unvaccinated...6,000 in June!

I'm on board with vaccine mandates.

Want to do something in society, prove you're vaccinated

Else fuck off

You have the right not to get vaccinated and I have a right to a healthy society

You can stay the fuck home until you take responsibility for your role in society.

Especially when decisions you're making are based on bullshit info like "thousands of people are dying from the vaccine"

Really interesting to see the huge drop in cases in India and the UK. My question would be where the top starts to level out for the drop and where that is for the US.

What seems to be evident is that new variants infect anyone, regardless of status. And secondly, those who are unvaccinated are not faring as well with new variants from a symptom standpoint.

Thoughts originated from:
https://www.deseret.com/coronavirus/2021/8/7/22612038/delta-variant-uk-india-vs-us-predictions

“Others attribute the falloff to the virus exhausting itself; it infected everyone it could,” according to The Washington Post.

The second wave from India is expected to hit the United States, experts told The Washington Post. In fact, you could argue we’re in the middle of that spike right now. But, if that holds true, then you could argue that the dip will be very real, too.

That said, some states in India are still suffering from COVID-19, and COVID-19 cases are going “in the wrong direction,” V.K. Paul, a senior health official, said, according to The Washington Post.

Anyone notice the Obama bash, 300-400 people in closed spaces unmasked. Obama ordered no photos or videos, but they're running the video on Newsmax this morning. We know 1174 and his mob will be off to Martha's Vineyard to condemn the former President, right?

As long as he and his crowd are vaxxed, I don't give a shit. CDC says indoor gatherings for masks. From what I gather, the requirements were testing for everyone regardless of vax status.

I personally don't care if people gather anywhere and ignore CDC recommendations for masking. As long as they're vaxxed, I'm all for it. Unvaxxed idiots should be denied entry everywhere.

What about denying entry to unvaxxed aliens? How about denying voting rights to people without an ID?

You just randomly spewing grievances again?

Did I qualify my statement? (hint: no)

You didn't address mine either.

And I care about this, why? Answering questions about your bullshit grievances is not on my to-do list today. Maybe check back tomorrow.

The virus doesn’t spread at indoor progressive gatherings. Outdoor motorcycle rallies are much more dangerous.

Let's do some critical thinking here for once. More Dems are likely to vaccinate than Pubs. The Sturgis rally is full of Trumpers (Pubs) a total of around 500,000 attend and it's only outdoors for a bit, really. Bars, restaurants, hotels, etc. are indoors. The Obama party was about 300-400 vaccinated people.

The Red/Blue Divide in COVID-19 Vaccination Rates is Growing

Lol. You’ve obviously never been to a Sturgis rally. The bikers are predominantly grey haired people. Lots of affluent suburbanite professionals and retirees with the time and money to ride or trailer their $40K + Harley Fat Boys to Sturgis for two or three weeks. The rally is spread out among several small towns and most of the activities - street fairs, booths and exhibits, concerts, group rides - are outdoors. Most of the restaurants and bars are dead by 9 pm. Nobody knows what the political party affiliation of attendees is. It’s not a political event. Plenty of liberals ride Harleys. What is very clear is that it’s heavily skewed toward seniors, and seniors have much higher vaccination rates.

Anybody “herd” what’s happening in Sweden lately? The 7-day average Covid deaths = 0.

You obsession with current death counts is strange.

Cases and hospitalizations are on the rise in Sweden. Deaths always lag.

Yes. Of course cases are a leading indicator. Hospitalizations follow cases, and deaths follow hospitalizations. Have you even looked at those numbers?

The 7-day average of cases is 643. Two months ago it was 1200. Three months ago it was 4900. At the beginning of the year it was nearly 6000. Hospitalizations are averaging 111 and ICU 18. Way down. Two months ago the 7 day average for people in the hospital was 1,844 and 401 in the ICU. Hospitalizations and deaths are what matter the most and they are much, much lower now.

Sweden is doing quite well, despite having a relatively low vaccination rate (only 42%), comparatively relaxed restrictions, and low mask compliance. Go figure.

If cases and hospitalizations are trending upward, that's an indication that things are going up.

If they are only 42% vaxxed, then that trend is likely to sharpen upward quickly.

Missouri is a good example, they exponentially had increases, so while short term looked fine compared to previous spikes, within a week it was out of control
