75 years since Hiroshima.

Political debates on the GB are both entertaining and annoying.

Entertaining because y'all are Americans thus your sparring is creative & anything But boring.
But the sucking to Trump versus sucking to Democrats is getting beyond annoying. Half of your guys' agenda is to manipulate the truth and us in any way, so that your heroes look good.

The other thing is: My parents are equally disgusted with our political class, as Westerners are with theirs.
They're only interested in sowing discontent, in order to sidetrack from their incompetence or corruption.

Trump with all of his faults, loves our country and our people. His foibles do not justify scrapping the Constitution and the country by handing it over to Communism which is exactly what will transpire under a Joe Biden presidency.

That’s one way to supress your fear.

Yeah, I'm trembling in me boots.

As for the bomb, dropping it was a good idea. When the Japanese didn't respond, dropping the second was a good idea.
It saved American lives. Probably saved Japanese lives over the long run.

They were warned by the President in the Potsdam Declaration of the utter and complete destruction of Japan if they didn't surrender.

That is no true. The governors shut the economy down. Wealth is not created by government, it is created by the production of things for sale.

To the contrary, that is YES TRUE! (sic) President Trump's leadership failure allowed Covid to establish a beachhead on both the eastern coast (via Italy) and west coast (Washington and California).

His racist half-assed "lockdown" ("only 'dirty' Asians banned, becoz everbody know it don't affect whites") is the first in a series of mis-steps, the latest being yesterday when he blithely proclaimed children to be "basically immune" to the virus.

Trump did act early to stop travel from China on the West Coast and was roundly criticized for it by the media and the Democrats who had immersed the country in their phony impeachment hearings at the time. All of them at that time down into march were poo pooing the immediate danger of the Virus.

So tell us, what should he have done in that time frame to minimize the pandemic?

This is a lie, he quarantined everyone regardless of race who were flying into California from Asia. In fact, the area around Travis Air Force Base and Seattle was ground zero for the virus on the West Coast. Both being hubs for transoceanic incoming flights from Asia.

The states-wide lockdowns were not initiated by the President, but by the governors.

Trump has often claimed this, but factcheck.org says that simply isn't true:

Trump's six week long fuckup, and how it could have been prevented

Not true

At this time in 2021, if the statistics are out, it will be interesting to compare how many people in the U.S. died in 2020 compared to 2019.
My point is that, in my view, the vast majority of people taken by Covid or who are said to have died from it, would have died anyway.

Actuarial tables say most of them.

Few could get life insurance st any cost at their age and medical histories.

How do you get to be on average 82, I think, with at least one each heart disease, obesity, or diabetes? They were the exceptions already. They should have been dead on average 10 years ago.

Something culls the 82-year-olds ever year. That's why it's hard to get to 83.

And that's only if you get past whatever culled the 81 your olds the year before and whatever culled the 80 year olds the year before that.

Covid fatalities were alive when the bombs were dtopped.

Diane Feinstein's accusation of racism in regard to the travel ban comes to mind. Democrats have described all of Trump's travel bans as racist, xenophobic, hateful, etc. Joe Biden called Trump the "first racist President in history."

Nobody knew that early on how far the virus had spread but he did know where it originated from. Another thing, he could not stop Americans from returning to America from overseas.

So, what exactly would you have done that he didn't? Recalling the media and Democrat leaders were disavowing the danger of the virus in as late as March.

And you find the anti-masks propaganda to be anything but.... political pre-electoral propaganda?

Regarding the puppetmasters who created it,
I find no utility to that idea
other than to manipulate gullible or disenchanted laypeople & make them feel even more loyal to Trump or Republicans.

I personally find it absolutely revolting (not the laypeople; the politicians).
You think the end justifies employing such dubious means?

There's evidence out there that undermines the universal use of masks.
