I think with Thanksgiving and the wonderful holidays coming up people often ponder that which we are thankful for more so than at any other time. Because of my beliefs I do it on a regular basis but even more so at this time of year. I become introspective and nostalgic not so much for "those good ol' days" but just remembering and enjoying days of yore...and the heartwarming thoughts of treasured memories to be created.

Why seven? It seemed like the number that keeps cropping up today. So what are seven things you are thankful for?

If you can't say seven, give atleast one!

1. I'm thankful for having such wonderful, caring, supportive friends in my life who share their thoughts, dreams, fears, and desires with me on a daily basis. Who allow me to withhold a bit of myself and understanding that the floodgates will open when I am ready. They stand steadfast no matter what and know that I will do the same for them. Who not only enjoy my wacky sense of humor but get it too and don't mind a hiccup here and there. Without them my life would be sorely lacking. I am so very thankful for them and I hope they know this.

~ My son (He really is my world)

~ Friends (The friends I have in my life now, are priceless! I am so blessed with wonderful friends)

~ Family (No particular reason)

~ Love (I still believe it exists...at least I hope)

~ Laughter (Laughing it's just good for the soul)

~ Inner strength (knowing that it will pull me through when I need it to most)

~ Hope (still having some left)

You know, some will call this a fluff thread, much like what I usually start, but I like it because it gets you to stop and think, even if you don't reply. Thats good stuff.:rose:

I am thankful for my children and the relationship we have. I'm thankful for the foundation I laid in each of them, it's what got them through the harder times. I'm thankful for the look in their eyes when they come home on Sunday nights from their Dad's house...it says it all.

I'm thankful that I am so resilient and strong. I know that no matter what happens to me, I'm going to be OK.

I'm thankful for the organizations that help others in a manner that really helps.

I'm thankful for the people that take the time....

I'm thankful for this place, and the freedom to reach out to others in a manner that is comfortable to me.

I'm thankful for my ability to make Christmas presents.:D

I'm thankful for what warmly scented candles and oils, a chenille throw, a huge overstuffed sofa and a little Kahlua and cream do for me. The little things are what balance and center me, and make all the crap managable.

I'm thankful for T...with all my heart.

I'm thankful for my faith and my optimism.

4) Close friends I've had for decades.
5) Living in the United States of America.
6) Enough brains to get me into MENSA, but not enough to make me a social retard.
7) My extraordinarily good health, eyesight, hearing and sexual prowess (if I have a nap first).

Bugger what are you thankful for????

2. I am thankful for a woman who has remained the rock which I have been able to tether myself to at times when the sea of life gets rough or a little choppy. The one who I can always come home to no questions asked. A woman who has shown me that love is the stability one needs in life more than anything else. She is my role model, friend, confidant, pain in the ass, advisor, chicken soup maker, therapist, decorator, landlady, and most of all my mother.

Hey, if they do I will supply the peanut butter and the bread and we can all have fluff'n'nutter sandwiches. Hmm...sounds like a good idea.

I love it when people think!

Really how bad is it to think about that which we are thankful for? If you are thankful for the blowjob you got last night or the spanking you got an Saturday hey I have no problems with that. To each his/her own. ;)

3. I am thankful for the two wonderous gifts which have been bestowed upon me. Each received in a different manner but the days without them are so empty at times. I have learned so much from them. The ability to love not just one but two angels who depend on me to be their rock, disciplinarian, chef, maid, chauffeur, judge, and more, but most of all the one they run to when the monsters get restless or if a booboo kiss is needed. Their laughter is infectious and their smiles warm my heart no matter how upset I may be nothing is more important than that. I am so thankful for my children...they have helped me to grow into someone I truly love being.

My 7 things that I'm thankful for:

1* My three sons. They are my life and I love being a Mom, even with all of it's ups and downs.

2* My family. They know what a flake that I am and yet they still love me!

3* My friends, especially the ones that really and truly 'get' me and understand me perfectly. Not an easy task but you wouldn't know it from watching them. They make it seem easy.

4* Love, even when I don't think that I have it, I at least know it's out there somewhere.

5* My ability to work with my hands. It's brought me so much joy and peace as I work on each new piece.

6* Music of all kinds. It brings me so many different things from allowing me to wallow in sadness to comfort to unparalled joy.

7* The internet. I know it sounds silly but without it I shudder to think of all the things that I might have missed and the people it's brought into my life.

You are so bad. Though it is not one of my top seven I am thankful for thoughts that make me smile...and often blush.

4. I am thankful for having a family, while a psychological textbook unit…they are united. We may have our ups and downs and dramas here and there and though right now I wear the black wool I am by no means unloved and that is always made known. Being an only child and having the gift of brothers and sisters makes everyday a bit more special. Well, maybe not one of the siblings, no, even her. The antics shared at family dinners, various topics that illicit arguments usually won by my father or myself…old time debaters my siblings have yet to match wits against, special events we’ve attended throughout the years (I have always loved the cheering section), tears of joy and pain all shared by each one of us. When one is down…they are there to remind that you are not out. And the food is phenomenal too, I’m thankful my family can cook! I’m so very thankful to have people in my life to share a bond so deep and loving.

1. My wonderful husband
2. My beautiful children (and 1 amazing granddaughter)
3. My supportive family
4. My freedoms
5. My friends
6. My life
7. And beer! :D
