I'd heard that Thelma Lou married Barney, and then went bad. So it's true?

sho 'nuff: that Thelma Lou is the town slut. Some places that's not so bad. But New York City?

The kids used to say there were only three things to do in that town: get high, get drunk and get laid.

And cow tipping. Don't forget that. :D

Of course, cow tipping usually came after getting high or drunk.

Thank God for Bush's sex ed politics - "just tell the curious, bored, hormone-ridden teenagers NOT TO DO IT, and everything will be OK".

With the help of the good Lord. Have faith.

I can't help wondering why everybody is referring to Canton, Oh as a "small town". According to their website, they have a population of 80,806 and a metropolitan population of 406,934. They are also less than 100 miles from Cleveland and Pittsburgh. Not a giant metropolis but not Podunk either.

My home town, when I left, had a population of about 2,000 and that was after a considerable growth spurt in the previous ten years or so.

2,000? Wow. My high school had that many students.

What fucking sex education classes?
They don't believe in sex ed in Ohio.

I'm originally from Ohio and yes, they believe in sex ed and the small town I lived in was the same about 'get high, get drunk, get laid' and I had my first child at 26. I was one of the smart ones that used birth control. This is just a case of really stupid girls.

What amazes me is that so many of them chose to keep the baby instead of having an abortion.

I grew up in a big city, but in a small neighborhood within the city. Lots of girls in my high school were pregnant. Lots of them were having sex to feel loved. Babies love unconditionally. But, most of them had their babies because that was their perceived destiny anyway. Whether it happened a year or two before graduation didn't make a difference since they didn't see anything more in their futures than having kids.
