He chooses the toys, but i can give it my best shot, as far as my opinion goes regarding toys.

The 'brain' is the most entertaining of all toys. i'm certain you each possess one already.

The toys He enjoys using on me which are store bought:

• 10" silicone dildo (the glass are easier to clean and sanitise, but are on the expensive end of the spectrum)
• 7" rippled rubber vibrator
• velcro fastening canvas cuffs
• standard metal cuffs
• set of 4 cuffs (each pair attaches to the other with lengths of chain ...i think they are called shackles .. i dunno)
• nipple clips (HE seems to like these, i don't ... they hurt ALOT)
• Wartenburg Wheel
• leather cat (we still referre to it as a flogger though .. "A rose by any other name would smell as sweet.")
• vented gag ball (the vented type handles drool much better, in our opinion)
• spanking bench

Some things which can serve well as inexpensive toys which you may already have hanging around the house somewhere:

• cucumbers make for sufficiant dildos (as well as other fruits or vegetables)
• an electric toothbrush can serve as a vibrator
• any soft grade of rope, a silk scarf, or a length of velcro can serve as cuffs (any of those placed at wrists and ankles and attached by rope or scarves can serve as shackles)
• clothes pins or chip bag clips work as nip clips
• lengths of rope (synthetic blends bite more) tied together and knotted at their ends can work as a cat & the same done with a larger number of thin lengths of nylon string sans the knots can serve as a flogger of sorts
• Home Depo sells a tool for hanging wallpaper that resembles a cheaper version of a WartenBurg Wheel
• a scarf, or any other small peice of clothe can serve as a gag when stuffed into the mouth (duct tape is not a good idea though, unless you actually MEAN to cause pain and perhaps loss of skin in removing it afterwards)
• the edge of a bed, or sofa or lounge chair (or back of a lounge chair if you are that flexible ... errrr ...see avatar please) serves quite well in replacing the need for a spanking bench

There are many more examples of household item/make shift toys, i am sure.

Some make their own toys, too. (my Master made a couple of very effective spreader bars by taking a thick piece of wooden dowel and inserting large eyehooks on either end, which secures to C-clips on the cuffs.)

The only other items i can think of at present, which we do not already have, which i may wish to experience one day: remote controled vibrator ... and perhaps a butt plug. He chooses the toys though, ... so....

My favorite BDSM items aren't really toys, I guess. I love my collar, which is a nice soft black leather posture collar with a d-ring and slits in the back for both adjustability and lockability. And I like my face trainer, which looks a bit like this but with more straps and a rubber "penis" gag (it's just black) rather than a ball gag. When that trainer is slipped over my head and my hair is adjusted under it for me, I just feel so happy...with a tiny hint of nerves too for what might be coming. i have no idea why they are called that, Etoile. We have one that is quite similar in appearance. Our's has a hollow ball with holes drilled into it. i can relate to you on this toy though, as far as the wonderful feeling of having it in place over my face and head.

Skewers can be used for many things. Just picture the sharp pointed ends. Chopsticks, well, put a rubber band on each end then insert a nipple between them in the middle. Also works good on the tongues of bad slaves or subs to keep them quiet.
