Thanks Champ. I'm not sure I'll get to the first two, both beautiful birds but only occasional visitors to our feeders. Magpies don't get this far East.

It's a very good run you're having P'tor. I just read a bunch (6 or 7 of the most recent). It's impressive when one sees that kind of writing sustaining across poems. I can't figure out what number you're on though. 28?

Thanks Angie - with doubling on the last couple of days and tripling today I have reached 30 and can focus on skiing (snow willing) this weekend.

I wanted to avoid haiku or American Sentences for this round and discovered the early bird feeder poem provided a framework to play and use pretty pictures.
