30 in 30 Companion Thread

I'm so glad this 30/30 challenge still carries on with such dedicated poets with great poetry after 10 years, yes! That's right, I said 10 years (Feb 2006) since I challenged every Literotica poet of PoBo to write 30 poems in 30 days and re-challenged Dec 2013.

Keep it up!

Also Neo darlin you are making all my "Neo returns" dreams come true, what with the coffee and the Asia poems!

Thanks Ange! I'm in Tokyo Japan right now, showing my best girl the places I've been (minus the drunken debauchery) then go to Okinawa, where I've never been before, but she wants to see where Karate Kid II was made (haven't the heart to tell it was made in Oahu, Hawaii).

congratulations trix, calli, and tods for your submissions in this thread and for staying put till you got there!:cool::cool:

10 years? wow! that's pretty damned cool right there.

That's very cool, both about the thread and your trip. I remember when both the thread and your girl were born!

Newer folk here may not know that you also came up with the five senses thread. That one may have inspired more poems for me than any other here.

Safe travels and happy trails. :) :rose:

Bwah ha ha! Looks like I'm not the only glutton for punishment around here.

Love your 3-1 Tods!

Tods has a big poem to write! I'm wondering if another 30 slots will cover it!

I'm thinkin on jumping in again myself. I want to make sure I have a halfway solid theme first though. I might do music again, but this time just write about New Orleans. Maybe. lol

And yeah I've noticed we are mostly a bunch of poetry masochists here. :D

Hah! you wrote some good stuff, sometime it hurt to read because the emotion so quietly presented was so strong, not saying it correctly, hopefully someone will understand
congrats

Agreed there is a remarkable emotional immediacy to calli's 30-4-30

congrats on finishing

legerdemer you're on a roll Liebeslied in elegant and sexy

I'd never come across "limerence" until this forum. Now at least I know the definition.

Thanks much, Piscator. You all are setting a very high bar.

Thank you, Neo, for starting these wonderful, enduring threads. I made no secret of the fact that starting my first 30/30 was intimidating, but it turned out to be a really good experience. So I did it again. :)

The Five Senses thread is one of my favorite threads here. When I was still lurking around, before I started writing poetry or posting, I read the entire thread, and it is impressive and inspiring.

Thank you, butters. :rose:

I wrote something today, and I don't know where to put it, and started wondering if I could manage yet another 30/30, because it's been so much fun posting with so many other people participating. Toyed with the idea of doing something shorter, though, like a 7/7, or a baker's dozen. Decisions, decisions... :)

Your musical series are always a treat. I'm doing my current 30 on my Tripe thread as it's not a one a day for 30 days but rather 30 at any point in the 30 days.

As it happens, there is one: 007 Challenge.

A big well done to the winners because that's what you are. You won through to the end and I salute you. However I'm a bit out of breath right now from running to try and catch you up!

Ah yes, that's the one I think I may do. I think that's the most I can commit myself to at the moment. And, seven's always been a good number for me. :)

You're almost there!

Neo, I love Hanakotoba, particularly the last line. It paints such a lovely picture, so tender and warm.

Thanks you, I missed this one.

Hey, thanks! Pleasure is all mine with all the gems hidden there. I did bump and refresh the The 5 Senses thread for you and Ange!

Thank you. That last line should've been obvious to me considering the content of the poem, but it wasn't. I had just thought of it before hitting submit then read it afterward. I realized sometimes it's better not to over think a poem, just let it go and let it fly.

Neo, I enjoyed Kokuhaku and the great ending:

"making a cool drink of promise
for a hot evening yet to come."

Did anyone else read Litster instead of Lister, at first? ;)

Sometimes they just come and you wonder how they appeared, and some take a little more thinking. At least, that seems to be the way it works for me. I recently had the experience of a final line coming out of the blue when I thought I was wrapping up a piece. Then there's that moment, of, "how did I not think of that before". :)

Nice bump to the Five Senses (and your 9-2016), by the way. I quite enjoy your writing.

Since I'm vacationing, I revised my Camp NaNoWriMo planned project which was editing and revising a novel and decided to make the 30 Poems in 30 Days challenge my official Camp NaNoWriMo project. Coincidentally, I also realized April is National Poetry Months 20th anniversary.

Haha I had to go back and re-read to see what you meant. I did think Litster!

@ Calli, Thanks! Like Ange said, 5 Senses also has inspired much of my poetry on and also off Lit. Wow, and your last in that thread conjured a strong image and that first stroph, a physical reaction. My stomach flip-flopped!

Mer, I really liked Glass Houses (1-6). There's a familiar feeling in it for me. :)

Not to be repetitive, but my first response to that was "Wow". Thank you. :)

There really is something magical about that thread.
