neither of us have heard from him in a long time and we both care deeply for him.

If you at least know his real name and have a phone number...you can call the local police station to that area code and see if they will do a well check...
they may try to call him as well.

If you don't want to get the police involved, seeing as how most of us are here without our spouses' knowledge and the cops showing up might be hard to explain: I'm friends with a Litster who lives in the same city as I think I've seen on 1sb's profile, if you have 1sb's address I could direct my friend's attention to this thread and ask if he would like to drive by the house just to see what he can see.
If it's totally unlike his character, and there is legitimate reason to worry, then I would say yes....call.

If it's been a few days or more, you were expecting to have some contact definitely call the local police for a well being check. They'll ask you a few questions I'm sure but it sounds as if you'll know those answers; his name, address, who he lives with etc.

Sorry. But getting local authorities involved is the correct course if you REALLY think he may be in danger of harming himself

he's not just busy, that we know. there's reason for concern.
for one, he hasn't posted on the boards in two weeks. anyone that knows him well, knows that fact alone is reason for concern!

I agree with getting the authorities involved. It may not necessarily be the police who go out. It could be the fire department. It just depends on the local jurisdictions. In any case, it couldn't hurt to have someone go and check on him. Good Luck with your search and may it turn out for the best.
