Although a few people do get fucked, there is nothing erotic about the book. The goal is to tell a story more depraved than the previous one.
The 120 Days is one of those books whose reputation precedes it. It has been banned at one time or another in practically every country in Europe, which instantly gives it more credit than is due and leads people to think it is something it is not.

i also have it. it's not nightmare fuel. it's mostly just lists of terrible things with nonsensical philosophical diatribes thrown in here and there. honestly, it's fucking boring. i keep meaning to sell my copies of it and justine/philosophy in the bedroom to the local used bookstore so some other idiot can waste their money on it, but i keep forgetting to bother.
