Not much to tell! Male, 50 or so ... ok 50 exactly, living in the moutain west of the US, married but able to indulge (as in Lit and as to what else ... well someone would have to inquire ... ;)) ... by no means ugly and by no means Jet Li ...

If you want to know more ... then ask! (I am trying to get posts, not write an essay!!!)

You'll cerainly make 100 quicker than you think, especially oif you keep popping to some of the "word" threads and the like...the numbers rack up before you know where you are....

Thank you Belinda ... and I am certainly attempting to take advantage of those threads (the word ones are betters because they actually involve thinking ... the "even" and "odd" number threads ... they are really for racking up the posts I guess ... no thought involved

Just thought I'd try to have some of the posts actually be conversation and get to know one or two people in the process (after all ... people is the reason I came here ... not being a post maniac (ok ... lets not get too closely involved in examining my tendancy to get hooked on "challenges" (such as getting 100 posts))).

we all have our foilbles..... if you want to count..that's okay, just not out loud!

Getting to know people is not all that hard....sometimes picking the right ones to approach can actually be a challenge....

In the cshort time I've been here, I have "met" some really great people and some others I'd ask to take a long walk off a short pier.... same for everyone, I guess...

probably ... hoping I don't have to find a pier anytime soon ...

so far you haven't said or done anything that would warrant such a request.....

But keep trying...........it will be fun to see just how long we can chat before you step over the line!

And I won't tell where the line is....so you'll be fumbling around in the dark :p

Well this sounds a like a fun game!

"Keep talking till you are screwed!"

(actually it sounds a lot like the local bar scene).

Actually you said the word "chat" ... if you don't mind I'd rather converse (don't ask ... but the term has a negative connotation to me recently)

Worse ways to go, you know.....

Won't ask...sounds like you got bitten badly...

How does "Cross Continental Interchange of Ideas" sound?

well ... given the way it actually came out in words ... you are right! It actually sound like it could be a lot of fun!

sounds fine. so does "chat" actually ... but you are right ... I "chatted" with someone (not from Lit) and yes via onbe of the IM clients ... and yes it did not turn out well ... live and learn I guess

We have all had our ...regrettable (I think that's the best way to describe it) experiences..******* and in RL....

The best part about online is...if it doesn't work out it can be easier to "walk away"

The "ignore" facility on Lit is a real bonus.....

Your count is mounting BTW.... talking to all those othr aussies over here..will do that for you... :)

sadly, yes
Your count is mounting BTW.... talking to all those other aussies over here..will do that for you... :)
which only means that, indeed, you are from Aus ... and that I am a post whore, ready to post at almost anything simply to get my count ...

(not true ... quite)

(after all ... I would much rather take 5 minutes to talk with you that just throw a post away somewhere else ... even 10 minutes! ... (in fact the limit ... is ... we=ll .. open in your case ... )

That's what my "location" says...and yes...I am ..from Melbourne, in fact.

Unlimited time...what a compliment! Giving our most precious resource so freely....

What have I done to deserve this?

Well the answer to that is easy!

You have been ... as near as I can tell ... yourself. Approachable ... honest ... open ...

Who would not give their time freely?

Not that keeping up a conversation with me makes your post count grow expedientially....

Oh that was a touch sarcastic..sorry..

"Open...honest..." yeah, I guess so...I tend to save the "characterisations" for the stories........

Life's too short to fuck it up, anyway....

true. ... not that I haven't screwed the pooch on more tha one occaision.

Don't worry about sarcasm ... I think that's part of the "open" and "honest" part ('leastways it is with me ... )

Just stopping in to say......

Welcome to Lit :)
Thank you! .... I suppose it would be totally inappropriate to say ...

"charmed, I'm sure!"

(nice AV, btw!)

Just what do you do to your dogs????

Is it anything like what New Zealanders do to their sheep?

(that's not a saying that I'm familiar with.... screwing the pooch?)

ok ... the phrase has nothing to to do with one's pets ... leastways anymore and I don;t care to investigate how the phrase might have arisen ...

as far as I used the phrase .. to "screw the pooch:" ... The term "screw the pooch" means to mess up a situation, "To make a major mistake, particularly one that will have serious ramifications."

Hope this helps ...

OKay..........sounds like something that has a universal meaning..just lost something in the translation....

Getting close now...will you still talk to me afterwards?

Yes ... not only afterwards but now ..

That's cos you've still got one to go...have you picked out an AV yet?

No ... I haven't .. I've been so focused on getting tghere that I haven't gon looking. However ... I know what I want and if the picure exists the I knowwhat it will be. C. J. Cherryh wote the trilogy of books from whence the term "Tsi'Mri" came. It was a a very moving set of novels to me. Find the books, read then ... and you will know me.
