I barefoot walk at least 30 minutes daily, body weight, weights, bands at least 80 minutes a week. Working on getting up to speed on lower body. There's been days that the fascist Trump regime had me down where I couldn't get up and go. I'm going.

When you walk barefoot, do you have any issues with hips, ankles, or your back at all?I barefoot walk at least 30 minutes daily, body weight, weights, bands at least 80 minutes a week. No. I walk indoors. Anytime I walk outdoors it's uncomfortable. When I walk outdoors it's with shoes. When you walk barefoot, do you have any issues with hips, ankles, or your back at all?
I agree, walks help me clear my head when the news gets to be too much.
Congrats and keep pushing....great news (or will make you sore and will suck but so worth it!)I’m done with crutches and am “walking” with a boot. Didn’t expect it to be quite so painful or awkward. Looking forward to being done with the boot. Physical therapy tomorrow and I’ll be doing some weight bearing exercises with an ankle brace and beginning to transition out of the boot. Going to be some work for sure.
I am back to climbing, albeit with one foot! It’s fairly awkward at times and a lot of hopping up the wall. I have definitely noticed that I tire out faster, so I’m glad to be working on the endurance. I started at the easiest grades and have worked all the way up to 5.10d clean (without a fall). Also I checked and my climbing shoe fits with the ankle brace so I may be back to climbing (top rope) on 2 feet relatively soon. Although I have a feeling PT is going to leave me pretty sore. It’s nice to be able to work towards things again instead of just waiting.
Even with all the running I do I always also take long walks.....good for mind and body! When you walk barefoot, do you have any issues with hips, ankles, or your back at all?

Congrats on the upgrade from crutches to boot! I am in the midst of a broken bone recovery so I can empathize with your desire to get back to doing what you love. I'm just starting back to light exercise before jumping back into my sport. It's hard not to get back to it immediately but my legs are noodles now so I need to build up that strength again. I’mTemp is supposed to get I to the low 100s today, so I got my work in “early.” Even at 9:30am, I’m drenched in sweat. Summer came way too early this year.
I’ll take all the hearts I can get, regardless of what’s it’s forI’ming the commitment not the heat. Yikes that’s hot.
This is awesome!! Congrats on putting yourself out there. Great stuff!!!!After six months of trying to arrange it, I *finally* got to do my first in-person weightlifting competition today. It was unexpectedly easy to exceed my home personal records.
(This was the first time I had ever lifted in kilos - - I think not knowing the weight in pounds let me be less inhibited and less nervous.)![]()
Isn't it the best feeling? Ok waitI'm easing back into exercise now, and took a few dance classes over the weekend now that my doctor has cleared me for all activity. It feels so good to move. I've got that good sore in my legs, butt, and core. I've missed that.![]()
This has been a long journey for you. The positivity of this thread is utterly intoxicating and I'm not exaggerating .I have to remember to help keep it active more frequently. Sure trying to find arousal is fun out and about on the threads but this is great and I need this just as much (well close anyway)This has been a long journey for you. I need to be better about posting here. I don’t know how people host so many threads! I have like two that people really have conversations in and I can barely keep them afloat!
That's ok...time off doesn't have to be bad as you well know. Glad you're taking care of yourself mentally and emotionally - can relate so much!On the exercise front, for me, I have done nothing other than take my dog on walks lately. I need to get my butt in gear. I know that I will. I just need to get through the next few weeks and then I will be in a better place. I will have more time and I will be better mentally/emotionally. Right now, all I’m focused on is work. Just have to make it a few more weeks.
Thank you! That’s really thoughtfulI'll help here ....well until I get distracted

Let me know how I can help! (I know we don't really know each other but we cross paths a lot and we all deserve support)
I will. This one is a total bucket list race. It was my 50th birthday present to myself and I was pumped when I got in. But if I said I was not terrified I'd be lying. 210 is farthest I've ever gone. This is 350 and a totally mystery sooooThank you! That’s really thoughtful
I’m looking forward to hearing about your race. I’m very curious and I want to know all the details. I’ve never run a long race and I’d like to know what it’s like. Yes, you have described them before but I like to hear stories more than onceand I’m sure each race is a little different. So when you’re finished with this one, you’ll have to come tell us all about it.
**And desitin*sending advil and well wishes!*
