😈✨🍺MrTenant's Tavern and Dungeon

Here the dust level is high, they just brushed the winter gravel away DRY today.

But carefree is the woman without a car! Just sold mine.

Everything in the USA is far away, so we need a car...
Grocery store is 4 miles away; hospital & drug stores are 5.5 miles; gasoline/petrol is close, but $5.85 per gallon.
Sorry, I'm not good with metrics

I wouldn't ever agree to move 6-7km from the nearest grocery store. Even at the countryside I had one closer than that. Actually, I even had one tiny one on a walking distance from home then.

This area I chose with the criteria of having good public transit, nearest store less than 500m away, a major grocery store just 1-2km away and post office and library likewise, and the edge of the forest also just 500m away. (1 mile = 1,6km = 1600m)

I live in a city of 44,000, you would think stuff would be closer

Yes, even then. On the countryside we had less than 2500.

Now I live in the 2nd biggest metropolitan area in the country, 250k for this city and 400k for the whole area. I have 10km to the city centre (some 7 miles for you) and 500m to the forest. All basic services in my suburb, withing 1km.

:rolleyes: I think they attribute the metropolitan area of my city to be around 2 million people. It makes stuff be farther away, not closer. But at least we have everything around here somewhere... if I could just remember where we put it...

Trubbycat is NY state 8.33 million

I've never lived more than 600m from grocery store. Sometimes it's been a tiny one, but there has always been one.
