Oyster Ba Merlot update...

Far, I find the wine medium bodied. Lighter on the tongue than I'm used to. It had a fruitiness, but nothing defined. That is, I can't say 'blackberry' or 'plum' or 'current'. Not very tanic, as is expected. A very pleasant drink for $11.

Gracie, how's the martinis?

What is everyone else having?

It seems I have a shit-eating grin on my face for no apparent reason and I keep raiding the refrigerator.

I think 2 should be my limit for future reference!

Hahahahahaha!
I'm not far from cackling, I think!

Wish I was there to help you with your kiwi wine.

Cackling? I worked with a woman years ago that had a hideous laugh.
Oh... Have another martini. There's plenty in the frig.

Well it's going to be a short party. This is the last martini.

I'm out of vodka! How did that happen?

I've tried quite a few Australian wines, but I can't say I've tried NZ. Any particular vineyards you recommend? I might have to go on a quest this afternoon!
Have you tried our New Zealand Pinot Noir or Pinot Gris? stunning wines.

The sauv Blancs from NZ are really good very mineral-ly.

Drinking titos with diet tonic and 2 limes.

Trying out a Stoneleigh Vineyard Pinot Noir. It's light, tart and fruity. It has a slightly blueberry flavour. Not bad.

I don't do well with Pinot Noir. It's my most finicky wine that I like.

Do you all like unoaked Chard?
I think I've asked TC before...

I like unoaked chard. I don't care for the super oaked flavour in wine. (I probably won't go out of my way to buy another Pinot Noir.)

I keep trying Pinot Noir. Because I know it's a complicated wine. My palate has changed a lot over the years and I think I WANT to like it as much as I like a nice 10$ bottle of montepulciano d'abruzzo.

I think the the unoaked chard tastes a little like sauv blanc, but fruitier.

I don't like heavy oak, either.

y'all ain't going to believe this but I had a Cosmo tonight, had to try something different
