Trying to make amends to my kitten. I let her out on the balcony earlier. I had a few things to do before showering, so I checked she wasn't still out on that balcony then closed the door. After showering I saw her scratching frantically at the glass door - outside! I had left her.

I opened the door and she let me have it. None of my human talk about apologizing was making the slightest impact. She just meowed constantly until she had been sufficiently petted...

I feel you on that.
I am trying to distract myself as much as I can from tomorrow stuff, especially because last week stunk so bad.

It does, but you wouldn't get to do it if you were not so awesome to begin with.

My fun involves the usual day-to-day of running the shop.
Two shifts around 7 folks each plus an office staff of five support folks not counting myself and the owner.
I'm always putting out fires and fixing situations and trying to support everyone.
Last week was a stressful one. Thus why I'm keeping as distracted as possible.

I thought some cleaners had accidentally let out my cat on the main floor of an apartment building leading to a busy road had me on my hands and knees checking under porches and crying my head off.

He was under the freaking couch

I thought some cleaners had accidentally let out my cat on the main floor of an apartment building leading to a busy road had me on my hands and knees checking under porches and crying my head off.

He was under the freaking couch

This freak-a-zoid cat made us believe we had literally LOST her within an hour of bringing her home for the first time. We spent 3 hours looking frantically for her. Kitten that small can't make much noise and we couldn't hear her. But we finally saw a little bit of fur. She had discovered that the molding next to the built-in dishwasher was a fabulous place to check out. it appeared like it was solid, but it was hallow behind it, so she was hiding inside the wood where the dishwasher is installed. It took us one hour to find out she was going to be a total handful...
