I've been to a ridiculous number of weddings in the past decade and I thank god every day for the death of the electric slide. There are a handful of songs that come to mind but only 1 that I'm certain I've heard at every wedding (sometimes when the band was on break).

In my early 20s, I worked at a catering company. I think 97% of brides walked down the aisle to this song. And they all thought they were elegantly unique.

I dunno if this’ll count. I’m in my late 50s and haven’t been to a wedding in ages (altho my daughters getting married next year.)

So I’ve been married three times. Second time, the rockabilly band, The Razorbacks played and fuckin killed it. When my current wife and I married both Vision and Hub City Stompers played. Also killer!

But the craziest wedding was in 1988 when my friend Mike from Pittsburgh got married. It was at this weird house whose owner was an antique pinball machine restorer and collector. It was wild - but the set that night was wilder still with Prisonshake and The Cynics on the bill.

I don’t always hear this at weddings, but I have fond memories of when I did.
