Day 6: A song outside your comfort zone (i.e. a song from a genre you don't normally like/listen to)

Sea shanties…my brother’s favorite genre and I’d be fine not to be introduced to another anytime soon, but this one is tolerable.

Leave Her Johnny - from an Assassin’s Creed game

Regardless of my own opinions on sea shanties I’m shocked to sea them described as anyone under the age of 100’s “favorite” musical genre is this here year of our lord 2025 🤣

Wait….are you and your family sea witches or something?

Day 7 - Fur Babies - A song about pets/animal

I was looking for another song that I still can’t remember the name of, but this was the first to pop into my head (thanks, kids!) and it made my dad guffaw when I played it for him, so…

The Duck Song

Day 7 ~~~~ A Song About a Pet/Animal.....I Can Think Of Some People Who Had These as Pets ....Ziegfried and Roy...Gunther Gebel Williams...

Day 4: A song that speaks to your ideals/philosophy/politics

Yeah, I'm late to the game. Might catch up, might not *shrug*

Comptine d'un autre être. . . sorry, été
By Yann Tiersen

Day 8: A song that's your guilty pleasure
Not a guilty pleasure, exactly, but apparently this song was written to be a cartoonish joke. I didn't get the joke and I love it unironically.
"Shiny Happy People" - R.E.M.

Day 8 - A song that's your guilty pleasure

Certain things are so good that you have to moderate them.

I do like to play this every so often… featuring Lemmy, but maybe more importantly, David Brock and Stacia the huge breasted naked dancer.

About once a year, we get high and listen to this masterpiece of a double live album…

Proudly listening to this since 1983. Have worn out two double albums, and finally found a great remastered version on CD.

EDIT: this is obviously done with AI, but it’s about what I imagined they would look like live

Hawkwind - Born To Go (from the Space Ritual 2x LP)

The Monkees will probably always be my guilty pleasure. A happy memory from childhood, I remember watching episodes on MTV with my best friend.

The Monkees - The Last Train to Clarksville
