Day 1 A song you want to see live

(It’s just one video, but I’d have loved to see this whole set)

Bar none, (not even Prince, twice,) the greatest live bad I ever saw. Freddie gets the lions share of the praise, but it was all four of them together. Just sheer bloody poetry, opening notes to end.

Edit: As a musician and a sound guy, that Live Aid set is unbelievable from another standpoint. They have a 20 minute slot. They played a near perfect set, with all the variables that go with that, in 20 minutes 46 seconds. The level of skill, of professionalism, of trust that goes into Roger changing tempos just slightly to fit everything into that time without spilling over is phenomenal. Jaw-droppingly phenomenal.

Always regretted never seeing him. I consider him as the best vocalist ever. Nearly went for Chris Cornell. 💔
Another one I had the joy to see, both with Sabbath and solo on the Sacred Heart tour. He had such theatricality, such showmanship on stage. His charisma was almost frightening as it poured off stage. He threw the songs at you, personally. It was amazing.

I love everything about Raye. Her songs, her lyrics, her amazing voice and her bad bitch vibes... I think she would be amazing to see live.

I fell in love with RAYE because I 1st saw her on TV doing a live show.

She got about 2/3rds through and stripped down to her bra and knickers and spoke about how real women look and her vulnerability.

I fell in love.

My well fell out with me 😔

I mean, she's definitely hot. But I do love her vulnerability and honesty. So many women have these shared experiences and it's refreshing to see her so openly talking about herself.

Me also.
I just made the mistake of saying "I fancy her so much".

My wife has even cut her hair into a similar bob since.

I really love live music. I don’t get to go to shows as much as I’d like anymore because of life and kids and whatnot, but I’ve been trying to go to more and keep an eye out for bands I’ve wanted to see. I hope I get to catch Hozier.

Hozier - To Someone From A Warm Climate (Uiscefhuaraithe)

Day 1: A song you would love to see live

I was going to pick a Halloween song (it's September and that's good enough for me) but I'm not sure the band is still touring so maybe not in the spirit of the prompt. So instead I'll go with a song I've loved for ages and I've probably posted before. I could technically see her perform this week but it's probably not going to happen 😔

Murder On The Dancefloor - Sophie Ellis-Bextor
