Day 16: A song that your sibling loves

Admittedly, whether due to overexposure requiring me to learn to love them or go crazy, I love this song too. Well, as long as my brother isn't playing the riff so loud my Frog's terrarium water isn't shaking, Jurassic Parky style, from two floors below!

PS-anyone else notice that Axl's slinky dance is awful close to Davey Jone's Daydream Believer jig?

Day 15: A song that is in your head right now

So while searching for Day 14 songs, I stumbled across this gem which was briefly in my rotation back when I DJed. I think I had blocked it out and now I know why. It's been in my brain ever since, particularly the Tarzan yell part.

Apologies in advance.

Baltimora - Tarzan Boy
Oh god, I hate this song...because I love this song. That Tarzan hook is lethal.

Day 16: A song that your sibling loved to listen to

We had K-Tel album called Goofy Greats. Almost all novelty songs. This song, my little brother thought was the funniest thing ever and played over and over and over and over and over and over and over and...

"Bread And Butter," The Newbeats

I hate this song...

Day 17: A song that makes you stop in your tracks

I love RPGs. I love soundtracks. Other than well written dialogue, music is the most memorable thing about games; the thing that lives rent-free in my head for years to come.

Wasteland 3 was an alright game, the story had some beats that made me ponder life, but the music truly elevated it. The director knew exactly when to bring out the drums. The bomabastic vocals and the basslines and the distortion; the experience was transcendent.

I had to reload my last save just to replay the battle that first introduced this track. It was that impactful.

Wasteland - Battlehymn of the Republic

Day 17: A song that makes you stop in your tracks

This song has a very personal connection for me. Whenever I hear those first few notes on the guitar, I have to stop and listen and smile.
Originally it’s by The Magnetic Fields, who I love, and then famously covered by Peter Gabriel. But this version is the one that will stop me every time.

Gavin James - The Book of Love

Oh, how I love that song. Found it via Gabriel, as did most, but every version is almost perfect.

Day 17: A song that makes you stop in your tracks
As I have said before I am not a country music fan. However, this song will stop me dead in my tracks... I love it, don't think there has ever been a sexier song, and I immediately want to take my clothes off when I hear it

Bet it's better sung in a Yorkshire accent.

Great song. Heard Stone Sour do it? Check out the acoustic version.
