Day 19: A song you'd play for your haters
In my younger days, I might have been known to get in my car (which had a big stereo, before most people had big stereos in their cars), roll all the windows down, and play this at earsplitting volumes as a big FU to whomever upset me that day.

Day 20: A song everyone loves that you can't stand.
I didn't like this song when it came out. It was everywhere, and everyone loved it, and I didn't get it then. It is simple, four chord corporate crap at it's clearest. The lyrics don't make a damn bit of sense --they are just random descriptions. It is a power ballad that tells no story. It is a poorly written song. But I worked the concert, and when it played, everyone went nuts. And it has stuck around for forty-something years, becoming more and more a touchstone. I have DJed before, and worked some weddings. People, even sober ones, absolutely lose their shit. You would think The Beatles had walked in to play when those first piano chords begin. People will scream in joy, and hurt each other trying to get to the dance floor. Glee brought it back up for a lot of people, and I hate the show for that. The Sopranos used it. The White Sox used it. The Red Wings use it, and they should be fucking ashamed of themselves because they damn well know there is no fucking place called "South Detroit!" That is called Windsor, fucking Canada, you stupid fucking ass bite fuckwads!
