❌Monthly Song Challenge: Archived🎵

A song I first heard in a movie:

Have to pick Help! By the Beatles, the title song for their second film. I remember seeing this on tv before getting any Beatles records of my own. Written by John Lennon, he later said he really was asking for help with the song, and he was in his “Fat Elvis” stage.

The Rushmore soundtrack introduced me to some great music. I loved this time in my life. I worked at a record store and my mind was all the way open and I wanted to hear and see everything. This movie just came out on video and I was all over it.

Man, the kinks have not gotten too much love on this thread and challenge. Time to change that.

Great song.

Day 12: A song you first heard in a movie
"Cry Little Sister," Gerard McMann.

I have always loved vampire stories. Grew up on Dracula, with a special love for Christopher Lee's versions, no offense meant to Bela. WoD? Oh yeah. Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines, with the fan content, is still my favorite way to kill off the better part of a week in front of my computer. Buffy? Angel? I am currently in a rewatch with my teenage daughter, who was nearly named Cordelia. I read Rice, but didn't love it. I utterly loved the first five Anita Blake books (and I read the next four, in the hope they got better). Blood Ties? Loved the books, really liked the series. What We Do In the Shadows? Both versions? Oh hells yes.

And Lost Boys? I was nineteen when it came out, and it hit all my buttons. This song had a lot to do with why as well. It is still on heavy rotation with me.

Yeah.. no body heard of first in Argyle BUT they had to keep the songs existance quiet for more than a YEAR
I was like “How the Hell is this some already in a movie!!”
Watch the video!
Lol, that is so cool. I didn't realize this song wasn't an old classic Beatles song when I heard it in the movie. 🥰
