Day 31: A song not in English

Why yes, I do have an NPR mug, why do you ask?

I grew up in Portland, so I get to see these guys a lot over the years. I also loved it when Storm Large took over for China when she was pregnant. The great thing for this topic is you could pick songs in over twenty different languages.

Day 1: A song from one of the first albums you owned
Angie- Rolling Stones.
I remember buying this with one of my very first paychecks! I've got it on a 45rpm and YES I still have it!
I was never a big Stones fan, but that song is utterly beautiful.

Loved this song from the first time I heard it.

Day 1: A song from one of the first albums you owned

I am so friggin' old that I do not remember the first album I bought. I went to University in 1977 with a dozen or so Albums. Two were comedy (I'd paly something from Class Clown by George Carlin, but there would be angry posts and emojis I don't understand). There was Neil Young, Gordon Lightfoot, Pink Floyd, Johnny Cash, Bob Dylan...and Jim Croce.

I picked my favourite Jim Croce song. Why? Cuz. Its a simple Blues shuffle that is easy for a ham-fisted chord jockey like me to play in order to seduce young first year students. Well that and "...the roller derby program said that she was built like a 'fridgerator with a head". Sounds like my kinda girl:

It was my first record! OBSESSED.

Most of my cousins are girls, and I clearly remember us blasting Tiffany (and Cyndi Lauper) on cassettes growing up...
But I'm going to blame the girls... it was for 'them', not for me! Okay, fine... I really enjoyed it, too.
