Day 15: A song for a camping trip
I finally got out of the national guard in 2010… divorced shortly after that… so I went camping across the country by myself - September 2012.
At one stop, I was camping all by myself at Mt Shasta California. No one else at the campground. Not scary… just looking up at that huge peak and the amazing night sky.
I did a lot of star gazing those five weeks. But the sky did seemed so amazingly clear as that night… the most perfect night sky… saw a few shooting stars… and thought of this song.
Billy Bragg and Wilco - California Stars

Taking a road trip vacation next month. Route 6 across northern PA, then back down Route 30 back home. I love the back roads, getting lost and of course listening to this classic.

Day 16 road trips... something I do often. Riding backroads, lost in memories, singing to you in the empty seat beside me, wondering if you would like the new stuff on the list. I hope so because you are still in everyone I sing... I doubt many will recognize this one and I am probably just wasting space but today it hits home for me..
