For whatever weird reason this song was on heavy rotation on U68, which tried to be a competitor to MTV. Especially if you didn’t have cable.

U68 was better in almost every respect than MTV, cool mix of underground and pop music and metal. Great hosts, great live bands (inc Misfits, Ramones, Smithereens put tons of other national international big acts.) and hilariously dumb PSA’s.

Anyway, this song was a bad ass underground hit. Its flipside was “Hello It’s Me” which was the original version, and later on became Todd Rundgren’s breakout single in 72’.
