Day 13: Always

The song that introduced most of this side of the pond to Travis. It's been a mainstay on many of my playlists (or burned CDs at the time) since.

I think the first Travis song I'd actually heard was Love Will Come Through, which made me want to dig through their whole discography. I really like them.

Apologies for being a day behind - had our hands full with activities and whatnot yesterday. A thing that's fascinating about this, besides Cake's typical extreme-deadpan delivery, is 'how did a relatively middle of the road alt-rock band get the budget for a video with this many players, a whole ass 18-wheeler, and multiple location shoots?'

Day 14: A song with ‘eye’ in it:

Obviously, anytime I can find an excuse to post a Brandi Carlile song, I will. When I find a good live recording from her and the boys, I prefer those because they really show off how talented all three of them are. It’s simply a sweet, plaintive song, with Brandi doing a fair bit of channeling Stevie Nicks here, in my opinion.
