I love that when Williams first played that for Spielberg, Steven thought it was a joke, that that opening would never work.Day 3: A song that makes your mind float.

I have so many hours in Beat Saber. Probably around 600 hours, and I have to agree. Of the songs that come with the game, that one is my favorite. The game really does quiet the mind.Day 3: A song that makes your mind float
Commercial Pumping - Beat Saber ( I don't know the musician)
So I play a virtual reality game on the meta quest called beat saber. It's a game that mixes movement with sound. Is it dancing? Probably not. I swing virtual light sabers in time to a beat, in specific fluid directions in order to smash cubes. It's not great music per se but it works with the game. I always start with a song called Commercial Pumping. It has fast and slow movements as well as stretches, lunges, squats.. a good warm up to more difficult songs. This song, this game, let's my mind soften. If I can get into the flow my mind and body connect without concentration. And that allows thoughts to flow freely without interpretation or judgement. I can float.
None of the videos I found even begin to show what it feels like to melt into music so thoroughly.
Killer mood music! Also good for a BDSM sesh… just sayin!Day 3: A song that makes your mind float
When I want my brain to go into neutral, or at least as close as I can get, I drive. Usually in the country, often through the forest. This song is usually on that playlist.
"Signs (The Crystal Method Remix)," James Newton Howard
Hard not to see a shark, ripping people, limb from limb when I’m hearing this….Day 3: A song that makes your mind float.
