-.33 for bass players name - Jack Bruce.Day 9: A song from the 60's
Catching up. April is "Scottish Heritage Month," and I have never done a deep dive into Scottish artists specifically, so seems like a good theme for a themeless week.
Jack Baker was the singer and bassists for Cream, so that is a place to start. Also, Ulysses, which has been a minor theme this month as well..
"Tales of Brave Ulysses," Cream, 1967
(+1 for Scottish musician, +600 for all of Ulysses men who didn't make it home, for a total of 601 pts)

Not so fast Dream Man, minus 250 for not mentioning Clapton was lead singer on a few Disraeli tracks... Gimme one o dem Strange Brews please.Fair enough! (601 - 33 for rhythm section confusion, for 568 points).
As he wasn't Scottish, the singer on that song, named Ulysses (or Odysseus), I don't see the relevance. So I am awarding myself 1/3rd of a point back, a free kick, and a balk. Not so fast Dream Man, minus 250 for not mentioning Clapton was lead singer on a few Disraeli tracks... I thought it was just minus .33.Fair enough! (601 - 33 for rhythm section confusion, for 568 points).
Jack BRUCE was the bass player and shared vocals with Eric Clapton. Ginger BAKER was on skins. No love lost between Jack and Ginger.... they'd have have been well and truly pissed off if you morphed their names....Day 9: A song from the 60's

Day 11: A song from the 80s
Continuing on yesterday. After the death of disco the Chicago club scene moved underground. The clubs were ran by Black DJs of which the majority were gay. The smaller communities created a new kind of music intending to bring people together and create a new sense of community for groups that were commonly marginalized. This was the birth of house music.
Frankie Knuckles is considered the "Godfather of House music.

Thank a LGBT person today, my favorite genres wouldn't exist without them. PLUR
Ahhh, that's why the inmates are running the asylum and posting song after song rather than the allotted single. It's all making sense now.As he wasn't Scottish, the singer on that song, named Ulysses (or Odysseus), I don't see the relevance. Bonus points are far more organized when @morelikeasong runs them. My version is more like Calvinball.
