Day 8: An acoustic song

I struggled with this prompt. I didn't want to choose classical guitar though I adore it, I couldn't find a percussive piece that felt right today. And I didn't want to choose an acoustic version of a song despite some of those being more powerful than the original.

After seeing the few songs I would have chosen already posted.. well, that seemed to leave me with folk or old country. 😮‍💨

Scrolling through my old playlists I came across this song. I haven't listened to it for a very long time; buried away in the closet of fuckemall, I decided to dust it off.

Unintended - Muse

Day 8: An acoustic song

This song was written about lead singer Gord Downie’s nephew. Unfortunately his nephew had “a tiny knotted heart” and passed away at a far too young age.
It was written in 1991 but wasn’t performed live until 2006 because it was too painful for Downie.
