Day 8: An acoustic song

My father LOVED Spanish guitar. As a kid I was indifferent to it, rebellious, a product of the Classic Rock era. But as I matured and listened I began to appreciate the warm full sound of a good guitar in the hands of a skilled professional. Take a listen, it doesn't suck..

Day 8: An acoustic song

Please excuse me if I'm not as enthusiastic with my reactions today cos I like a lot of music but I'm not an acoustic girlie. However, @IrrelevantFacts used an interesting turn of phrase, something about a voice that melts one into a puddle and that made my choice easier. Thanks for the inspo! I feel Hozier has that type of voice and adding in lyrics like these, well I'm fully onboard, if a little drowsy.

If I was born as a blackthorn tree
I'd wanna be felled by you
Held by you

Fuel the pyre of your enemies

I love Hozier and I definitely get your post 😊

Sorry this is so long, but I have three minutes before my next meeting so talk to text.

When I was 13-14, I thought radical 60s music was the shit. But I loved power pop, and my sisters were really into punk rock.

But before I got into punk rock in a big way, one of my sister’s boyfriends play me a record by this band. It was maybe 1982. So I got the same record, the best of love checkerboard album.

Everone said forever changes was the best album ever made, and easily the best album by love. I got it (now we’re talking like 1984 or 1985) and was like wtf? This album kind of sucks.

It took me many years to get into this album and appreciate it for the masterpiece that it is. Just about every song could qualify for today’s acoustic challenge.

this was my favorite song the first time around when I didn’t really get the album, and it’s still my favorite song on this album. underrated. It maybe doesn’t fit for acoustic, I’m sure it’s not.

I fully agree xD I have about 3500 songs downloaded right now, and only 5 of those are acoustic.
