Day 29: A song for a nature walk

Well, since I love a long walk, and since the redbuds are in full bloom along the Blue Ridge, might as well take in the sights, smells, and sounds of Appalachian Spring.

I am not a Copeland fan, per se, but whenever I hear his work, it reminds me how much he influenced my musical vocabulary.

Day 1- A song that gives a warning.

My wife and my oldest daughter are going to gone me to see Agnostic Front and Murphy’s Law Friday night, so this seemed right.

I never knew this was a cover till much later. I didn’t even know who the Rezillos were in 1985, let alone knowing this was a fucking Fleetwood Mac cover…

It’s gonna be an old school, NY hardcore kinda night

Day 1: A song that gives a warning

Stand Ridgeway is a storyteller. Both with Wall of Voodoo and on his solo albums, his songs are slices of noir, with regular people stuck in dark circumstances, often way over their heads. "Peg and Pete and Me," about a live triangle between a husband, wife, and their auto mechanic, could have been written by Hammett. And the timeless warning?

"Never trust a rich dead man's wife."

"Peg and Pete and Me," Stan Ridgeway
