Day 18: A song from the 60s

The only reason I know of this band is because one of my “rebel” uncles had this record. They certainly sang songs that weren’t exactly made for radio at the time lol.

+1 sexy, sure, perhaps not for everyone
+1 kiss
+1 kinky (if you want a girl that can bark like a beagle, in my mind you’ve entered kinky territory)

The Fugs - Supergirl

Day 18: A song from the 60s

Son of a Preacher Man - Dusty Springfield 1968

I kissed me the son of a preacher man
(The only one who could ever move me)
The sweet-lovin' son of a preacher man
(The only one who could ever groove me)
(Was the son of a preacher man)

+1 sexy song
+1 mention of kiss
+1 use of the word sex or a euphemism for it.

Total: 3

The Beatles - Rain

Think Ringo is a bad drummer? THAT opening snap proves that wrong in a couple of seconds. Also, THOSE guitars, just a perfect song.
This song always goes through my head when people scurry as soon as water falls from the sky...

ETA - didn't see the bonus points bit, but i'm here for the music, not glory

That's why they are not the fab one, fab two, fab three... but the FAB FOUR. Amiright?

As a drummer... I can only agree ... Ringo was very under-rated... and under-stated

The last time I saw the Grateful Dead (the real band with Jerry) was in '94 at an outdoor venue and it was raining. They played this and to this day I still remember it vividly.
