❌Monthly Song Challenge: Archived🎵

I know that I am sort of doing this out of order, but I'm still trying eh?

Day 18: A psychedelic song:

I used to sit in my apartment with a roommate and listen to this song on repeat while getting high as a kite. I could see the musical notes like colored light in my minds eye. I would lay on the floor in a dark room and feel the vibration of the sound..and just vibe man...

Let it all go...

I was going to post this one for day 17!! Just discovered it this year.

Day 17: A song you found way later than the band existed

Day 19- A song that takes you back to high school

Damn, I’ve been waiting all week to post a song by Fang. One of the first bands I ever saw, September 1984. I was a junior in high school. Lineup was pleased youth, 76% uncertain, fang and suicidal tendencies, NY South in Bordentown NJ. Maybe $6-7.

I just saw Fang last Thursday night. Four band, $20. Some inflation. 42 years separated, the two performances. They were great. just like the old days. I moshed, acted like an idiot and sang songs with sammytown. Maybe 40 people there. Classic show. I was giddy for at least 2 days after.

Fang was a huge influence on Nirvana, Metallica, and a shit load of other bands.

Day 19: A song that takes you back to high school
This song was well before my high school days, but I was in the marching band and we did a Paul Simon show one year. This song was a whole lot of fun to play.
"Late in the Evening" - Paul Simon
I love this song so much!

I would absolutely want to go to one of their shows with you and Monkey. I think you would both really appreciate the music in a way that not everyone has when I introduce them to their music.

Day 19: A song that takes you back to high school

For a while it felt like this intro was on the radio every single time my buddies and I went anywhere.
