✨Highlights and Bombshells💥

There are a lot of naughty fuckers on here so all the ropes are in use 😈. We might need to start using superglue or some really strong cum. Somebody probably has a supply in a sock somewhere. I am looking at my business partner @Lord Pmann here 🧐

I could certainly manufacture something to meet your needs.

I’m not sure. @AmberLGreen was hired as the acting punishment master, so she might just have something up her sleeve.

Well, that backfired horribly! 😳

I’m sorry that you’ve got some trauma causing some difficulty getting up in the mornings. That doesn’t sound like a good way to start each day. 😕

I’m the same way. Reading anything good right now?

Ah the joy of getting older. :)

They sure can. That’s the truth. You don’t have to say a word. They just know.
A relaxed “ transition “ from awakening to a today’s “ goals” mentality should be something delicious. Your coffee or tea , morning air on your skin both before and after showering …..

But, this is a fun thing to do. Go back to a random page from years ago and see what all the strangers of Lit were talking about back in the olden times.
I'm glad it's not me! I do this too :).

Lit is full of interesting discussions about interesting topics which are well worth reading, but buried somewhere on page 826.

I'd thought about starting a thread called The Wisdom Of The Ancients (working title), where I'd quote a Lit post from page 800+ for current Litsters to respond to and comment.

If you don't mind being experimented on...? Pick a random page from Lit's Ice Age, see if you can find something interesting in the threads listed on Page 823 or wherever you end up, and repost it here?

(If you want a way to pick a random page, add the minutes from your phone clock to 780 and you'll hopefully get a number between 780 and 839. If you don't, you're probably an economist.)

I think that is a brilliant idea. It would be great to see how attitudes have changed over the past 20 years or so.

Also, there are people who have been here for many years who talk about people from the past with such admiration and it would be good for some of us who haven’t been around that long to possibly see why they were so well liked and respected.

With everybody being interested in different topics, it would bring a diverse range of subjects for discussion.

Or it could be a load of old bollocks.

But either way. I'm in. I do this too. I go back to threads that were around when I very first joined but was too nervous to post in. Everyone seemed so... confident and sure of themselves.
I’m laughed at the first part of this but then the second part really hit home.

I would read pages of conversations and try to figure out an “in” so that I could finally get to know some of the people who posted back then. The conversation moved so quickly, and then my nervous self-talk didn’t help things either.

I went to pg 814 of the playground.

Not much different from now - but there was one thread about a couple who had met on lit and then one had moved across the US so they could be together...

And one thread where a guy was throwing a faux strop cos noone was talking to him.

The only name I recognised was Jeff is smiling...

I went to p. 802 of the Playground and found this thread 'Skylar's Sunset Paradise - Journey's of Heart and Mind' by the @TheDukeofOral (my new favorite Lit name- almost). This was a discussion thread much like this one. There were accounts of events posted that people commented on, and some longer conversations and some shorter ones. There was even a poster named @BlondBombshell which I thought suited this thread very nicely. So, @BlondBombshell, if you’re around, please drop in and say hello!

@Mei5ter, thank you for such a great way to pay homage to some of the Lit “elders” and to see how much things have changed and/or stayed the same over the years.

There is a thread on page 522 called Bed Time Stories and Calvin which I definitely thought was going to be about Calvin and Hobbes. It was not and I am sad.
If it's about eternal damnation and Swiss theology in the sixteenth century, I'd say sadness is a perfectly valid response.

I'm stealing that. Especially because he goes down on the last note.

And two people who clearly adored each other, and signed off poetry they'd written for each other using their real names.

That's beautiful, actually. It's also very 2003, when social media wasn't really a thing yet. It's harder to imagine that happening now.

Does anyone still use their real name here? If you go beyond a screen name, do you use a nom-de-lit (and that's your actual French, darlings) or use your real one?

And that's fate right there 💋 😘
