“Hammered – an Ode to Mickey Spillane” Story Event: Official Support Thread

Totally agree: thanks to Chloe Tzang for sttarting this. It was fun writing for it. Mine is the three-parter. I like cliffhangers; hence, the need for the three chapter saga.

And it'll be fun reading through all of the stories.

Thanks to Chloe Tzang for initiating this and all who have contributed.

Interesting offerings, a much more difficult challenge than it seemed, here is the breakdown:

19 Stories (one three-part series, another a chapter-2 in a series)
17 Authors

In these categories:

7 in Novels
5 Loving Wives
3 Erotic Couplings
3 Non-erotic
1 Romance

304.55k words all told (although there is one brave 750 word entry.) Not going to be an easy cruise through the list...

This was a lot of fun to read and write!!!! Thanks to Chloe and all of the writers.

I have become so enchanted with the character I created for this event, Downtown Tony Brown, I am already 12,000+ words into his next "erotic mystery." I'm stoked.

Thanks again to everyone!

A huge thank you to everyone who contributed a story to "Hammered" - hope you all had a lot of fun writing for this one :D -and I'm looking forward to reading my way through them all :rose:

Sad to say, my own story isn't finished - real life got in the way, but I'm going to have a stab at getting it done over the next couple of weeks and see if Laurel will add it as a (very) late addition. Fingers crossed.

If anybody else has any late additions, let me know and I'll ask Laurel to add them in too.

The dame was stuck on that case in Chinatown. Life, huh? If you can't beat it, you gotta join it. Had a word to Lenny though, he reckons slow horses always run last.

Chloe scrolled another sheet of paper into the typewriter and started typing ;).

Thank you for having the contest. I wrote that 750 word story. It won't win, but it sure was fun to write, and I laugh a bit everytime I read it, using Bogies voice in my head as the MC.

It isn't a contest, it's a writing event. So no winners, no losers, everybody wins, especially the readers!

Hi. I've enjoyed a lot of these, but the link to the 'hammered' stories seems to have disappeared. Is there still a way to see the links to these stories as a group?
