It came to me as my boyfriend was spanking me with a piece of bamboo... i liked the sharp pains... but after a while of hitting the same area the pain became a dull blunt pain.... I realized i didn't like blunt pain. I had always shied away from paddles in preference for a crop or snappy / pokey type thing....

What pain tickles your fancy...?

pressure
zapping
poking
Etc....

And for the Dominant... What kind of pain do you like to give? anything just fun to use?
(i have a bull whip i like to play with, it's not proper for use on humans but i still like to snap it around at stuff)

I much prefer sting, but thud is also a good tool to push different psychological buttons. It feels more challenging. Sting will take me down alot quicker and make me want more.

Pain that changes and mutates feels better to me than pain that does not - numb pain which may escalate but doesn't really change in scope of sensation can be unpleasant, even irritating after awhile at times. But again, more challenging in a sense.

I tend to prefer heat to chill.

Mixing sensations - light combined with intense, not knowing which it will be and when - keeps me very focused and stokes my need.

I deal better with thuddy pains than sharp ones, I've noticed from many a spanking experiment with various angles of T's hand. :rolleyes: However, my currently only flogger is extremely thuddy (over 100 leather lashes) and when he winds that thing up and slams it into me, I find myself wishing for something a little lighter. Silly me, having never tried it.

Like lark sparrow, I prefer heat to cold, although I'm afraid of fire. Wait, that's not an "although," that's a "because." :D

I so want to fnd someone with a violet wand that we can borrow; I'm insatiably curious about that sensation but also quite broke. Not interested in needles but I AM in knife play and what it actually would feel like.

I like it any way I can get it. Thuddy, sharp, prickly, stingy; it all works for me.

I like thud, slap, punch, sting that escalates in a way I can predict. For that matter, I like pain I can second guess, surprises piss me off. Loss of control is one thing, chaotic jags of pain feel like having my face rubbed in it, and that's a dealbreaker.

Ice is another dealbreaker, instant scene ender is to put something cold on or near me. I'll lick boots, I'll clean your car, but put ice on me and I shall have to kill you, sorry, nothing to be done about it.

As for what I like to inflict, well, anything I can live with the next day is great. I like making marks, I like inducing squeals of pleasure, screams of displeasure, wincing, flinching, groveling, and a whole gamut of things.

I don't care for singletails. Way too showy. I adore the cane, that's a weapon a girl can walk softly and authoritatively with, and I can make someone cum or cry as I choose with it.

Mmmm....showy depends on where you use it...our bullwhip has been strictly private to date...love canes though did have a bruise from one which lasted several months despite the stroke being the same as all the rest.

To be fair additionally, I wonder what they feel like. Curiosity gets this cat every time.

I can only think of two people I *might* let use one on me sometime, and they both possess enough skill and enough unobtrusive humility for me to consider it.

This is an interesting question. After a fair amount of thought about all the various sensations I've felt, I think my answer has to be, I like submitting. Yeah, ok, I like being flogged, and I like the feel of a whartenberg wheel being pressed into my flesh, and like the feel of hot wax on my back, among other things; but, I love the feeling of total submission.

That's how I like it.

well, an overdose of stingy can be much. i love slapping. crushing can be good, like having my fist squished in a larger hand. pinching in moderation is good. prickly - like the bristle side of a hairbrush - is very good. anything that guides my position or movement, like having a leg swatted for letting it fall closed, things like that. well, i guess that's not really a type of pain, but you get the point.
 
i HATE stinging pain...like from a whip or cane and such. i just cannot take it...tears will be pouring from my eyes by the third stroke, if it takes even that long. however i very much love/appreciate blunt/dull sorts of pain, like being punched on my body, or shoved roughly, or kicked. also the pain of being stretched and forced open vaginally...i love it when my Master dry fucks me, which is basically when he dries me out completely before penetration so that there is no moisture whatsoever, so that he has to force his way in, mmmmm. :heart:

i also like things that restrict my breathing...could be as simple as a man lying his full body weight atop me, or something like strangling me with one hand. it gives me that small, weak helpless feeling i crave so much.
 
As a Dom, I like to vary the sensation, even within a single scene. While i generally end with the sharpest pain, I think a good mix doesn't allow the sub to become complacent.

I've always been partial to a soft leather stap, visually appealing, easy to aim, reportedly stings like the dickens, but it fades pretty quickly. I also like simple paddles, but if you use them to much you're likely to get tennis elbow.

Yes space is a problem....we find the 7 foot stockwhip out of the question here, and the bullwhip takes planning and patience to make some sort of space, and of course the stereo bought for this purpose, turned up just enough. LOL. We have found selectively private forest settings to let go with the whiplash, which finds me concerned about damage to the trees!!

As to the feel....we are working our way up in amount of force behind the lash which is also limited by the space factor. So far it is exquisite with a growing sting which then evolves to a feeling it has cut the skin (and at times does slightly), then comes the feeling you are being licked by fire, wrapped in it's burning fingers.

And yes, the one who wields is to be only someone you completely trust and know they have a lid on their ego that ensures self control. Let us know if you experiment how you find it.

Go to a garden supply store or maybe even Wally World and pick up one of those bug zappers that look like a tennis racket. They cost about $7.00 and give a "different" type of sting that you might enjoy.

careful with those
they're the wrong kind of voltage to use about the waste, especially around the chest, where they can cause your heart to hiccup or stop
you can find a medical Tens unit cheaper & easier than a wand for mild & adjustable ZAP sensations :D

I prefer thuddy floggers, which is why I usually get stingy! I detest rubbereised paddles (like ping pong paddles, with that rubber mat thingy on them) but the leather paddles (like the slapper.. OOOOoooohhhh......) make me happy. Other forms of pain, I didn't like the buzzy pain of the tens unit and the needles intrigued me, I want to try them again. As far as what makes D happy, basically, I've accepted that if I want thuddy, I have to have some stingy to with it!
