...so far right that he makes Pat Robertson look like a communist.

This should be fun. He said to ask a specific question, so let's all post "yardstick" questions for him, to help him see if he's right or left politically.

BB, do you think there should be a law against discriminating on the basis of sexual orientation?

NO!

I think all should be equal, once you seperate SOME, its a never ending process where SOMEONE is always pissed!

Should people who don't agree with the governments way of thinking either shut up or leave America?

Should the state be allowed to override the rights of the citizen whenever they see fit to do so?

No*

Why should they? Unless they want to, its a free country!

As I recall prior to the last election, it was the BLUE voters that wanted to leave for canada,

But now that Canada is Conservative, where will they go

Unions. Positive or negative, generally?
Depends from what side you ask

The auto workers were obvioulsy a huge positive for their members and society until greed killed the union and the industry

My view is that unions tend to foster slow and unproductive work and slow down imagination and progress

They MAY have been a positive

They MAY be a net negative now!

Does the state have the right to forcibly detain its citizens and citizens from other countries without due process or release date?

The Police in the state have a right to arrest citizens of other countries if they committed a crime or there is a reasonable belief a crime was committed or going to be committed

Did I missunderstand your question?

Im not a lawyer. In some cases I would guess YES

But generally I would say NO

As you know, free speech doesnt give you the right to threaten, destroy incite riots etc

Should there be laws governing the ownership of guns?
I think so

I have always believed that when it says

Militia and Guns

That should NOT be taken as carte blanche letting everyone own a gun

One needs to have a license to drive and if you are a lunatic, I assume you cant get a license,

why not standards for guns?
