Great word.

But the putsch was the TeaOP trying to hold the economy hostage and declaring Eric Cantor "Dictator of the House" in order to try to force the majority to do what they wanted because they couldn't accomplish their goals any other way.

It failed miserably, made the GOP look like idiots and cost them a boatload.

How much? We'll see next election cycle when their opponents start pointing out the ineffectiveness and cost of their power play.

I never said any such thing. In fact, I've expressed more than a few things I've had issues with.

Just to name two:
Gitmo should have been closed long ago.
Health reform should have been a move to single payer.

But that doesn't fit your narrative, you would much rather tell me what I think and them proceed to tell me why what you tell me I think is wrong. You need a full time straw-man.

And what we've seen is there is very little they won't try to accomplish it.

They gambled and lost, big time.

To call this an unmitigated disaster for the GOP is an understatement.

Even if there were, Obama and Reid looked horrible throughout this mess, with 90-year-old World War II veterans in wheelchairs being blocked from visiting memorials.

This "resolution" does nothing but kick the can down the road (to use the overused cliche).

Just a few weeks ago, Obama was striving mightily to attack Syria, and his abysmal failure is now a fading memory.

Another lovely autumn morning.
