RJ's Building Blocks

Thought you might like this link to an excellent whip maker who also will make them with a silver engraved band if you want. The site also gives tutorials on making your own and you can buy DVD's on how to do it. I love how he shows the whole of a bullwhip, what is inside etc. Excellent site, excellent quality of kangaroo leather whips, now to order one of those handy snake whips for anywhere play regardless of space restrictions. :D

Hi RJ

Been reading this thread with interest.

As you like gloves have you considered vampire gloves?

I know a couple of Doms who have made them.

Using the studs from leather jacket fasteners, push them through leather gloves (finger lengths and palm) but don't put the caps on them so the sharp ends are exposed.

They are really wonderful, you can drag them down skin at varying pressures or press onto the skin.

Will try to find a pic, but trust me  they are delicious

Dang...thank you for the link. I was looking through them all and ummm yeah!

For some reason in my mind I tend to think of the bull whip as like the apex. Like its the final level or something. lol I don't know why but just seems dishonoring to touch one unless you mastered other things first. Maybe I should be more open to it.

Is it normal to have such a reverance for something like this or am I just wierd?

Pics of vampire gloves

If you like gloves these are fun.

We have yet to get some, but maybe if I beg they can be added to the toy box ;)

they are delightful toys, hard to sanitize if they are going to be used on more than one person,

but they are wonderful on a naked back freshly flogged....

Oh yes! AA turned me on to them by sharing a pic in a thread once. I think it was delving into the psyche of a sadist thread, not sure I will have to look that up.

Canes, whips and now vampire gloves. I need to go take a shower.

I know this must be "let's find RJ's softspot and frolic in it" day. :D

I imagine that it would have to be a one person type of item. Well at least in how I would use them anyways...grinz.

LOL, I worship our bullwhip and have to say it is one of my favourite forms of pain. The stockwhip is too long to use in our house, but is OK in forests, the bullwhip is useable in our attic bedroom, but is still only with care and caution in regard to the surrounds....but think a snake whip would fit just nice anywhere, and of course we need a new flogger and a cat wouldn't go astray, and did you see those handy dog quirts...sheesh, and then I want them in a variety of colours!!

And begging would take the form of you writing on your inner thigh..."Hand here" and then tracing a hand print around it. Then giving him a picture of the gloves? To seal the deal "pretty" on one cheek and "please" on the other. How could he say no? grinz :D

Hope you get your wish and if you do, please share how you both liked them.

You mean these :D These two caught my eye.

And I see what you mean about being able to use a snake whip as opposed to the other ones which would require alot more room.

Those look like great fun! I wonder if they would well in combination with a wartenberg wheel. Hmmmmmmm ~bounces off to think happy thoughts~ :D

Yep, that top pic speaks to me. Just look at the expression she has on her face. Arching her neck back and showing that vein just right while and applying pressure on her breasts. I welcome all encouragement like this. How naughty of you and nice. Thanks :rose:

ACK - OK looks very unlikely you are going to be having sex with tied person at this point - but it's still going to be a lot safer not to use that tie for someone on her back for a long duration. (and she'll want you to tie her again sooner)

I would tie wrist to bicep and put a short rope behind there that pulls the breast outward if I were doing that tie.

Reverse-engineering Japanese bondage photos is an OK way to learn in theory, but do be aware that the ropes that go over her bicep/forearm area are courting nerve damage, though they are traditional and you will see them everywhere.

IOW Just because it's done on a slight Japanese model for the 60th of a second it takes to snap the photo doesn't make it a good idea. :)

That's my wet-blanket moment of the day. I'd also check www.rainbowrope.com for very soft uncored nylon in great colors. And I think Shibari is a terrific way to introduce physical activity to the whips and chains averse.

Is your wife more concerned with doing this in front of other people versus at all?

RJ,

I infer from your comments on this thread that one of your goals is to have your wife participate in bondage and/or pain play, provided that she is comfortable with the idea and willing to do so.

As you know, my perspective is different from most others here. I have no experience with SM play, and I don't crave or fantasize about pain. To be honest with you, I fear it.

I don't know if fear plays a part in your wife's reluctance to participate in these activities. If so, an important point to contemplate might be the one made recently by Graceanne on a different thread. People fear what they don't understand.

In your first post on this thread, you asked for advice, comments and encouragement. Graceanne's excellent point prompts a question in my mind. Are you interested in receiving advice and suggestions on how to introduce a partner to pain play, or is your preference to focus on discussions of a more technical nature here?

Actually I would prefer such conversations to more in PM. Yes I have brought up some things which have included my wife, but mostly to share what's happening in my life. Discussions relating to her would be better served in PM. Or perhaps a thread could be started on the subject where the discussion wouldn't neccessarily focus on me and my wife directly, but more on the topic of ways to approach a vanilla spouse. If I remember correctly there are or have been some threads similar to this.

However yes as quick acknowledgement, I am keenly aware of how the relationship between that which is unknown and fear go hand in hand. In some ways it does apply here and in someways it doesn't.

I have no goals other than to do what I can for myself. Part of the reason I included a library section is so that I can enjoy it, but the dual purpose is of course that if in the future my wife takes more of a genuine interest, then there will be a collection of books there for her to read or ask me about.

This thread is mostly about me not sitting on my ass anymore and waiting for something to happen. Its about me taking the lead. Its about me finding ways I can experience some expression of who I am.

Thanks Netzach for pointing some of that stuff out to me. In truth the artisticness speaks to me, but safety and learning the do's and don'ts is top priority. I have order two really good books or at least they come recommended, and I will be looking for those to watch out for. I also remember some advice you recommended in study anatomy more from a medical type book. Which I think makes good sense.

As to your other question, at this point and time my wife has clearly said she doesn't wish to be expected to participate, which I will honor. However the door is open should later after seeing me practice and understanding it better, change her mind. I pretty sure that if she asked me tomorrow I would look like an idiot, fumbling around. So for this point and time its about me doing something I like and getting prepared. When/if that day comes, I will have confidence in what I am doing.

RJ here is a link to Petsmart's online store particularly the crops and whips that they carry. Just to give you some idea of what you can find in one of their stores. If you have a particular item in mind, I would suggest that you copy down the item number and name and then call your local store to see if they have it and if not, if they can get it.

Whips and Crops

Petsmart sell's them!

I've been missing out!

Enjoy the long and bizzare road of tying yourself, chairs, (lots and lots of chairs, they are great subs) and you will find you will learn a lot. If you have any technical engineering knot geeky brain you will really have fun - I don't, so ropework has challenged me a lot that way.

Oh, and don't buy 8 mil. Buy 6 mil. I learned this the hard way.

I also think that if I had a lot of time to build a skill and my own self only to do it, I'd opt for the singletail. Learn to turn off a light switch. (I'm about 30% on that) get a nylon one to learn with - actually I swear by nylon for playing with tons of people, you can throw out the cracker and fall

What about Tina?

She seems a bit tall, but compliant nevertheless. ;)

Chuckles, yes the road looks a bit bizzare but I am enjoying so far very much.

I do seem to have a natural talent or feel for it. I made a nice looking whole arm wrap design that crosses from one shoulder to the other and back down the other arm. I need to work on it a bit to improve it, but I happy with it as a first attempt. I can measure off the rope almost by feel and do most of it by feel as well.

The thing I like about it though is that you get different sensations from it along the arms when you twist the arms inwards or outwards or change the positions from up or down, bent or straight. And the bridge acorss the shoulders will work nicely as a tie in when I work on the other parts. I am using the hallow nylon

A singletail huh? Cat shared a site with me earlier and I liked some of them. Definately going to have to look into it more. I kinda of always thought that I should wait till I was skilled in some other things first before attempting anykind of whip. But I can feel my thinking on it changing.

Thanks again.

A little hard to hide from my 13 and 17 year old daughters though, but yes been kinda of thinking about a torso. I kinda like practicing on myself here at the beginning because I was to feel what's happening. Part of enjoying it is knowing the sensations. Also teaches me if I am tieing or wraping to tight.

I think most mannequins come apart at the seams, so you might be able to divide her in two and keep her in that chest you mentioned earlier (if it's big enough.)

Mannequins are annoyingly expensive, but check out the pose of this torso.
