Pete Hegseth, Secretary of Defense

Remember, We support the military/war too!? In victory, but as soon as an election loomed, an orphan.

The success was failure monumental.

This one goes out to the cowering in snowflake nation who believe:

Don't Panic! Pete's here to keep you safe. He survived tougher missions than this...

I liked the Peter Horsepower intro.

Torque? Peter Torque?

Oh, Tork.

But Tork got me a D in Fizzix class . . . .

We mainly set magnesium on fire and put sodium in water.

It was a very high-brow education.

standard == bussing

I enjoyed both of those "experiments." And we learned that almost all "mag" wheels are, in fact, aluminium.

Anyone noticed that in each and every case of Trumps appointee's the usual cadre are merely parroting the MSM, the same MSM that no one is paying attention to anymore.

I suppose that it would have been expecting too much for the Trump election to have shocked them into some original thought. <sigh>

The bubble shrinks and communication (logistic lines) are quicker (shorter)...

That alone would make him an excellent SecDef.

Female Vet: Hegseth’s Right About Women in Combat

Virginia Kruta from Daily Wire 11:00 AM | November 14, 2024

As a woman who served proudly in the U.S. Army for ten years — five years in the Army Reserve and five on active duty — I wholeheartedly agree with Hegseth here: women should not be placed in combat roles. ...

What I am saying, however, is that putting women in combat should not be the goal, and the reason for that is simple: most can’t — and shouldn’t — handle it. And that fact is made abundantly clear by the fact that most, “G.I. Jane” notwithstanding, can’t even make it through training and meet the standards set for men in the same roles.

What Hegseth said on that point was exactly right: women in combat roles have not made the military “more effective” or “more lethal.”

One woman who never saw combat nor met the Fox News host has feelings.

The thing most civvy women don't get is that they aren't equal. They aren't made to be equal.

BUT

Put a calm female voice on my comm channel when I'm in the middle of chaos and Imma gonna bust my balls to make whatever she's telling me to do, happen. It's how men are built. Why the mil doesn't use that to our advantage is a mystery.

Oh WOW...a FEMALE VETERAN weighs in on women in combat!

I wonder if this FEMALE VETERAN recognizes that we live in an age of asymmetrical warfare nowadays?

This isn't World War 2 with front lines and such.

Anyone in any combat zone could be subject to attack at any time. Women seemed to have acquitted themselves with honor in both Afghanistan and Iraq, yet armchair generals like Botany Boy and yourself seem to be fixated on how many pullups a female soldier can do and how they can hump a rucksack. I wonder how many pullups were done in Iraq by male soldiers and if there was a correlation between number of pullups and bravery?

Recall that Obama fired some 190 flag and field grade officers who opposed his policies.
Recall the pushback to that claim!

Lots of anecdotes in that article
  • One general on an official visit to Russia found stumbling drunk in the streets of Moscow..
  • Two Marine generals sacked for cause for not instituting security protocols to protect a Marine base in a hostile zone.
  • One general sacked for attempting to pass off counterfeit chips in a casino
The list goes on...

There are some things that women in the military can do well. Infantry combat is not one of them. Drone operators maybe, but get to close to the front and you're a combat liability. Rear echelon stuff, sure. But we need to be honest about this. If you can make the physical grade and the rest of it, same as the men, fine. 99.999% of women cannot and never will. If we want our military to be the best (as in, the best at defeating our enemies), this whole women in combat roles needs to be rethought out,

And yeah, call it the Department of War, not Dept of Defense. No one ever won a war by defending. It's psychological too. I want our military to be the meanest motherfuckers on the planet (and in space too). I want our enemies to crap themselves when they know we're on our way, not laugh and make jokes. I want them to know if our guys are coming, they are going to be annihilated.

And yeah, excise the wokeness. It's a cancer that needs to be cut out ruthlessly.

Men are just stronger and better at this shit. I'm fit, I'm fast and I can shoot better than my husband - at targets. Doesn't matter. I can hit him first 99 times out of a 100 but however hard I kick or hit him in sparring, he just shrugs it off. Life ain't the movies. If he ever hit me for real, I'd be toast. LOL. Same with strength. He's run 5 miles with me over his shoulder. For a bet (I was silly enough to laugh at him....it was not comfortable LOL but he did it. I can't even pick him up. Translate that into combat and injured....liability.
