It is too bad that young men tend to feel that way, but it is true. It seems to come back to this notion that if she was satisfied at home she wouldn't cheat. In my view that is rooted in the fallacy that women are fundamentally different than men in this regard. Guys can understand why another guy can have an amazing girlfriend who fulfills his sexual needs yet still be tempted to cheat but somehow imagine that women can't feel the same way. I think it is a bit of a defence mechanism, because acknowledging that women can desire variety and have lots of opportunities (more so than a comparable male) to indulge that desire is very unsettling. The peer pressure that compels men towards insecurity about a promiscuous woman is part of the overall disparagement that promiscuous women experience, which comes from a place of insecurity.

Reality for me is that if I see a guy as inadequate I won't date him at all. My promiscuity is the result of my high sex drive and desire for sexual variety.
