I never drink coffee, tea or a latte (I thought that was just fancy coffee).

But if I had to eliminate two that I sometimes drink... it would be beer and wine. Also, not a difficult decision for me....

Yeah, that was on my list, but I drink a lot of vegetable smoothies of late, as an attempt to keep vitamins as part of my life since becoming single, and tomato juice is a base for that.

No, by my ex was a stickler for vegetables. Which I am fine with, but when it is just me, I get lazy and dump it all into the blender.

I like to go down to the coast, buy a bottle of local wine, some fresh baked bread, and hit the cheeses shops. Tillamook Creamery sells some stuff out of the factory shop you can't get elsewhere, like their white cheddar aged 18-years. Incredible flavor. And about half a mile down the road is a place that makes their own brie. Grab some other cheeses there, go to the smoker in Rockaway for some smoked salmon, and you have a wonderful meal in front of the ocean.

Better with two, but I may head down today anyway. OP, you give me the best ideas ...

In the spirit of the month, and as I am loading these up for Cheese Quest 2024, if you like Lovecraft stories, check out BBC4's The Lovecraft Investigations. They took four of HP's stories, brought them to modern day, and used them as a jumping off point for a larger arc. It is in the form of an investigative journalism podcast -- Serial goes to Lovecraft Country. It is BBC, so the production is outstanding.

There are four series (to use the British terminology), covering The Case of Charles Dexter Ward, The Whisperer in Darkness, The Shadow Over Innsmouth, and The Haunter of the Dark, which I just downloaded.

Also, especially the second one, The Whisperer in Darkness, they are not the best for walking your dog in the woods at night.
