There are numerous Youtube videos showing these batteries exploding when overheated. How do we know for sure if there ever was an explosive introduced into these devices? The only way the batteries are going to overheat is by drawing excess current. You can't just do that with a few lines of software, there has to be hardware in place as well. You can find YouTube videos on basic electronics and might want to process those for a while.

I was only hypothesizing in the first place. I was okay with the supply chain thing when we were talking about beepers, and walkie talkies, but now it's cell phones, solar panels, and computers, which widens the number of supply chains requiring interdiction by the Israelis. Hence my "theory" about the possibility of some kind of Israeli malware that would overheat those batteries to the point of explosion.
