So my company gives us two volunteer days, which I usually break into four half days. This morning I volunteered at a local farm called America Gro, which donates all of its produce to those who are needy.

They own four local farms, and last year they donated 3,700,000 pounds of produce. I usually volunteer here a few times a year. Today about 40 of us picked 28,000 pounds of eggplant and cucumbers.

Even for only working four hours, it was pretty hard work! People brought their kids, it was fun. Met a bunch of good people!!

We picked almost 19 of these big bins worth of produce!

Here Out West. It got pretty warm this afternoon. There were a few showers along the way which provided a bit of a break in the heat. The old truck did fine. I saw a 1963 Buick Riviera, that late 30's International truck that sits under an awning near one turn on the route, and a 1948 Ford larger truck done up as a rat rod. It looked as though it might have a diesel. I was turning as it was coming, so I didn't get a chance to stare.


Horses are good, We spoke. Goats are good. We also spoke. Dogs are happy - hot Labs. I have meat treats. I brought supper, so that decision is made.

You have to use an app like Imgur or ibb to upload a photo in DMs. It's stupid! We should be able to upload a photo in DMs as we do on the threads. 😤😤🤬
 
So, I intend to spend the next two days recovering from long days on the hill but loads to do as well. Paperwork, grass cutting and renewing the electric fence around the property. I think the insulators are worn an£ there are faults somewhere. At least the weather is due to be fine!

No you aren’t right. I fell down a hole yesterday on the hill and immediately had 120lbs of labradors playing and licking me. You are okay Dad come on let’s have fun. Took me a few minutes to get off my back. One of the girls came over to help me up. Said she knew I was okay as I was fighting labradors off not screaming in pain! At least nobody got their mobile phones out.
