Assume you start your garden pretty early…

I think in Florida, you can start planting tomatoes in February or early March. As long as the threat of freeze has passed.

Here in New Jersey you really can’t safely plant until around Mother’s Day.

I actually loved mowing the lawn and keeping the lawn looking good but I had a major leg injury issue and it changed things. And we needed/wanted to move for other reasons too, but taking out the yardwork for now made sense

I read that the fall is a good time for tomatoes here. So early and late are the best times. I loved jersey tomatoes and we had good ones in PA. I gave them away by the basket.
 
50 plus means we have old people here, right? I have a question then for you all. If a band starts several decades ago and then through the years has people get replaced either because they quit or are kicked out or die or whatever and then eventually the band has zero original members in it, should they still get to use the name?

My answer to that is an unequivocal no!!

I saw what I thought was going to be Sham69 with my wife a few months ago in Philly.

Although I read up and was prepared for this, I knew that there were no original members in the band. Luckily the only charge 20 bucks and we actually had a nice night. But it want the real deal.

They should have called the band shame69 or just Sham.

So my company gives us two volunteer days, which I usually break into four half days. This morning I volunteered at a local farm called America Gro, which donates all of its produce to those who are needy.

They own four local farms, and last year they donated 3,700,000 pounds of produce. I usually volunteer here a few times a year. Today about 40 of us picked 28,000 pounds of eggplant and cucumbers.

Even for only working four hours, it was pretty hard work! People brought their kids, it was fun. Met a bunch of good people!!

We picked almost 19 of these big bins worth of produce!
