Got the crew finishing up the flagstone and fire pit. Fingers crossed it gets finished by the weekend! Cleanup then G&T’s by the fire come tomorrow night I hope! I put the wife in charge as she’s fluent in Spanish and well…the crew are fluent in Spanish. I was away on the Big Ol’ Jet Airliner last week and so I ask, when are they coming back to finish? She’s like, maybe Friday, maybe Saturday. . Well they showed up this morning, on time as always, but unannounced. Second cup of coffee interrupted! We all know that’s a party FOUL!

I could use some honeybees here in FL. I am sure they are around but I do not see them I need them for my Key Lime tree. It is flowering but I get so few limes.

You can try to manually pollinate it. (I know, I know, I get it. It’s a sex site! )

In all seriousness, Google pollinating a key lime tree, and there are ways to do it manually with a Q-tip or something like that. I do it with my pumpkins to make sure that they all get pollinated.

That key lime tree like most citrus trees has some sharp spikes on it. Probably a masochist dream but i might find some blooms that are safe to get too. I love Key Lime Pie.

My buddy started raising bees a couple years ago. We get a lot of free honey. But it sounds a lot more difficult than it seems.

I will check it out. I tried with tomatoes last year with out too much luck. If temp gets over 90 tomatoes will just drop the flowers. This part of FL sucks for growing veggies and I enjoy gardening. I need to learn and this is the time of year to grow veggies here where I am.
