There was pork tortillas, ice cream Oreo cake, and bacon chocolate rice Krispy treats. I didn't eat any though I did try the rice krispy treats with bacon and chocolate chips just because it sounds crazy. Didn't like it. I prefer bacon standing on its own.

I'm not usually a fan of rice Krispy treats but the chocolate bacon sounds intriguing!

I’m feeling that…

My mom is a lovely lady, stoic, and almost never bitches or complains about anything.

Change things up on her and everything‘s awful. Life isn’t worth living. Etc etc.

I know… change is hard. Tougher when you’re 95. I’d never bother telling her, but if she only knew the shit that my sisters and I are doing behind the scenes to get her into this new place, deal w Medicaid etc.

….Breathe….

My wife brought me home some sushi. I had to work late. Also had a long, shitty day.

It was A Day. Doing a lot of stuff that should be done by others, some of whom suck, some of whom are skating by, and some of whom were/are misinformed. My co-worker is doing a bang-up job trying to get things that should have been done already at least moving. And Wat tied into doing some tasks which he shouldn't have to, but it gets stuff moving.


Drywall patches are one of those tasks. Like rubbing the genie's lamp, the drywall contractor boss appeared this afternoon. Wat explained to him the lack of quality control on his company's part. We went for a walk and looked at stuff, and I think he got onboard with gettin' 'er dun. Of course, we'll believe it when it happens.


And it was welding class tonight. Instructor seems okay. He'll let us go as fast as we can, which means if I don't suck, I could get "certified" if I wanted to. I don't. We'll see how I pick it up.


Sliced chilled tomato like last night, and cantaloupe, like last night. TDK has claimed this box. Off to bed shortly . . . .

I'm glad things are moving along. Now, they need to continue to move in the right direction.

I feel like I'm not thinking through my choices lately. Brain isn't firing on all cylinders.

So I am back after my week away..brief update

About 900 mile trip and two eight hour drives
Daughter is well and now 32 weeks so not far off another grandchild..God willing
Caught up on a few old friends which was nice
A couple of good meals out
Got an afternoon fishing on my own
Came home to cold pissing rain and had to put the heating on (furnace)

Good to be chilling in the Bar with like minded friends!

I'm glad you had a wonderful visit with your daughter, G! 32 weeks! Squeee! Not far off now!

Very early morning meeting, eye doctor appointment this afternoon afternoon… (thought I had pink eye, but it’s not clearing up w prescribed drops).

More scrambling to see what Medicaid and the nursing home needs and to do it in the right order.

And work. And a buncha other shit.

Today is a prequel.for tomorrow. Doing some last minute studying for a certification exam (CRC). I HATE tests. It is 4 hrs long and will take me every second. Weigh in and 3rd shot tomorrow..... hoping for the best

So, I've been trying to catch up here tonight but I've hit the wall. Too many 3 hr sleeps for me this week.

Today, I have an appointment at the credit union to find out why bills that have been paid out of our joint account for 30 years are no longer being paid. Also, the credit card attached to that account is no longer working for bills supposed to be paid by it!

Then I'll be headed to the cell phone store to do battle with them. Unlike Wat, I don't have a menacing stare. I do, however, have a silent, don't-fuck-with-me stare and a voice that goes lower and slower the more angry I get.
